From June 65438 to September 0949, he served as teaching assistant and lecturer of Peking Union Medical College. 1956 went to the former Soviet Union for further study and returned to China the following year. 1994 12 was elected as an academician of China Academy of Engineering. He is currently the chairman of China Toxicology Society. He used to be vice chairman of Radiation Protection Society, distinguished member of International Radiation Protection Committee, deputy representative of China Municipal Government of United Nations Scientific Committee on Atomic Radiation Effects, and standing member of Medical Science and Technology Committee of Ministry of Health of General Logistics Department. 1958 presided over the establishment of the first radiotoxicology laboratory in China. This paper has made great contributions to the damage characteristics and hazard assessment of radioactive fission nuclides from the perspective of theoretical innovation and practice, and put forward a set of effective protective measures. Participated in the safety decision-making of national nuclear power plants and other nuclear facilities, organized more than 100 scientific and technical personnel from 9 units across the country to tackle key problems, and successfully completed the research on the national key project "Emergency Medical Treatment for Persons Exposed to Nuclear Accidents" and "Safety Regulations" during the Seventh Five-Year Plan period.
