First place: Suzhou Elevated Road (208km)
As the vanguard of Jiangsu's economic development, Suzhou is also the most powerful prefecture-level city in China. Suzhou's urban elevated expressway network planning and construction is relatively early. Up to now, the elevated expressways that have been built and opened to traffic in Suzhou mainly include Taihu Expressway, Wujiang Avenue, Jiangcheng Avenue, Wudong Expressway and Dushu Lake Avenue, with a total mileage of about 208km, ranking first in the province.
Second place: Changzhou Elevated Road (120km)
As a strong economic city in southern Jiangsu, Changzhou has always been in the first phalanx in terms of comprehensive strength and economic development. Although its GDP has been surpassed by Nantong in recent years, Changzhou's urban planning and elevated expressway network construction are still ahead of Nantong and other cities in northern Jiangsu.
Up to now, the elevated expressways that have been built and opened to traffic in Changzhou mainly include Qingyang Road Elevated, Changhong Road Elevated and Longcheng Avenue Elevated. The total mileage of elevated expressway is about 120km, ranking second in the province.
Third place: Nanjing Elevated Road (100km)
Nanjing, as the capital city of Jiangsu Province, is the political, cultural and commercial center of Jiangsu Province, which enjoys the resource inclination that other cities in the province do not have. In recent years, Nanjing has made remarkable achievements in urban development, the scale of the city has been continuously expanded, and the urban expressway network has been continuously improved.
Up to now, the urban elevated expressways that have been completed and opened to traffic in Nanjing mainly include Yingtian Street Elevated Expressway, Yang Zijiang Avenue, Jiangdong Expressway, Jiangbei Expressway and Inner Ring Expressway. The total mileage is about 100km, ranking third in the province.
Fourth place: Wuxi Elevated Road (90km)
Wuxi is located in the economically developed area of southern Jiangsu, a transportation hub city in the Yangtze River Delta and a logistics center city in East China. Wuxi's elevated expressway planning and construction is relatively early, but due to the relatively small urban area, Wuxi's elevated construction is not as good as other cities in southern Jiangsu.
Up to now, the elevated expressways opened to traffic in Wuxi mainly include Airport Expressway, Taihu Avenue and Jincheng Road Elevated Expressway, with a total mileage of about 90km, ranking fourth in the province.
Fifth place: Nantong Elevated Road (87 km)
Nantong is the fourth largest economy in Jiangsu Province and an important regional central city in the northern wing of the Yangtze River Delta. Compared with 10 years ago, the scale of urban construction in Nantong has undergone earth-shaking changes, urban traffic has also been greatly improved, and elevated expressways have grown from scratch.
At present, the elevated expressways that have been built and opened to traffic in Nantong mainly include Tongjing Avenue, Tonghu Avenue and Jianghai Avenue. The urban expressway network pattern of "one ring, one axis and eight shots" has basically taken shape, with a total mileage of about 87km, ranking fifth in the province.
