In February of the third year of Taiyuan (AD 378), the former Qin Emperor Fu Jian ordered his eldest son, Changle Gongpi, to lead an army of 1.7 million to attack Xiangyang, an important town in the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
In April, Qin Jun Pioneer captured General Shi Yue and arrived at the north bank of Hanshui River. Xiangyang people were frightened when they heard the news, and the generals of the Jin army were also very afraid. Shoujiang Zhu Xu mistakenly thought that Xiangyang City was surrounded by water on three sides and mountains on one side, so it was easy to defend but difficult to attack. The Qin army was all northerners, so it was difficult to cross the Han River and capture Xiangyang, so they didn't take the enemy to heart.
Zhu Xu's father, Zhu Dao, was a captain of the Eastern Jin Dynasty and a secretariat of Yizhou. His mother, Mrs. Han, fought with her husband in her early years and knew a lot about military affairs. When she saw Qin Jun's army under siege, she was very anxious and worried about her son. She couldn't sleep at night, so she went to the city to inspect the defense herself. She found that the bricks in the northwest corner of the city wall collapsed unsteadily and were easily breached by Qin Jun, but my son's men were so nervous that they couldn't even attend to guarding the city. Where did he get the energy to repair the city? Mrs. Han immediately stopped, called the whole family and the women in the city to mobilize, and assembled more than 100 "female soldiers", led by her personally, and stepped up the construction of a new town of more than 20 feet in the northwest corner of the old city. The walls of this new town are very strong. Later, Mrs. Han led the "female soldiers" to patrol the city day and night to assist the Jin army in guarding Xiangyang.
Zhu Xu was captured.
Soon, Shi Yue and Qin Jun led five thousand cavalry across the Hanshui River and arrived at Xiangyang at the gates. Zhu Xu frightened, life 8 jin j guarding city closely. After Shi Yue led the army to capture the outer city of Xiangyang, he captured more than 100 Jin ships, allowing the follow-up troops to cross the river one after another. When Fu Pi arrived with a great army, he instructed Qin Jun to attack the inner city. Zhu Xu led 8 jin j to resist to the death, and the battle was fierce. Qin Jun found a loophole in the northwest corner of Xiangyang City, so he took the opportunity to break through here. Fortunately, Mrs. Han has a prescient new city wall as a barrier. Zhu Xu led the Jin army to retreat to this line of defense and beat back Qin Jun's attack.
Hundreds of thousands of troops besieged Xiangyang for a long time, and the military expenditure was huge, which caused widespread dissatisfaction among the ruling and opposition parties in the former Qin Dynasty. In December of the third year of Taiyuan, Fu Jian sent Wei Hua, assistant minister of Huangmen, to hold a sacrifice to see Fu Pi and give him a sword, and warned: "If you can't hit Xiangyang in the spring of next year, you will commit suicide and don't come to see me!"
Pi Fu was very scared at the urging of Fu Jian. In January of the fourth year of Taiyuan (AD 379), various military forces were forced to storm Xiangyang. Zhu Xu beat back Qin Jun with a wooden cannon stone. Liu Bo, the champion general of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, led 8,000 people from Nanjun (now Jiangling, Hubei) to rescue Xiangyang. Liu Bo was afraid of Qin Jun and did not dare to move forward. Zhu Xu fought alone, took the initiative to attack many times, broke Qin Jun repeatedly, and gradually developed arrogance. In addition, Qin Jun retreated far away, so he suspected that they were afraid to come, and the Yugoslav capital slackened off.
In February, Li Bohu, a subordinate and governor of Zhu Xu, saw that Qin Jun was powerful and Xiangyang was difficult to defend, so he decided to surrender. He secretly asked his son to send a letter to Qin Jun, asking for an internal job. Fu Pi was overjoyed and urged the army to step up its attack. On the sixth day of March, Li Bohu and Qin Jun opened the gates, and Qin Jun flooded in, and Xiangyang City was broken. Zhu Xu was captured and went to Chang 'an. Fu Jian thought Li Bohu was unfaithful and killed him. When Zhu Xu was arrested, Fu Jian not only didn't blame him, but appreciated his integrity and named him the history of Du Zhi. On the surface, Zhu Xu surrendered to the former Qin Dynasty, but secretly he was seeking the opportunity to return to the Eastern Jin Dynasty.
When Xiangyang City was broken, Mrs. Han disappeared and there was no record.
In order to commemorate Mrs. Han's contribution to building a city against the enemy, Xiangyang people called the wall in the northwest corner of Xiangyang City "Lady City".
For thousands of years, Mrs. Han's feat as a heroine has been remembered by later generations, and the city of Nuwa has been restored repeatedly.
