Brief introduction of Xu Guangxian

Xu Guangxian (1920165438+2065438+20051October 7 ~ 2065438+April 28) was from Shangyu County, Zhejiang Province (now Shangyu District, Shaoxing City). Physical chemist, inorganic chemist, educator, winner of "National Highest Science and Technology Award" in 2008, known as "Father of Rare Earth in China" and "Rare Earth Yuan Longping". 1September, 1957, served as deputy director of the Department of Technical Physics of Peking University and director of the teaching and research section of nuclear fuel chemistry; 1February, 1986, Director of the Chemistry Department of the National Natural Science Foundation of China; 199 1 was elected president of the Asian Chemical Federation.
