Huo Yuanjia (186865438+1October18-1965438+September 10), a famous patriotic martial artist in the late Qing Dynasty, was born in Jinghai County, Tianjin. Huo Yuanjia was born in a family of escort agencies and inherited the "secret boxing" stunt handed down from the family. He was weak from childhood and basically lived in his hometown until he was 27 years old. He often goes to Tianjin to collect firewood for sale.
After the age of 28, he went to Tianjin as a dock stevedore. Later, he worked as a helper in Huaiqing drugstore opened by the farmers and was promoted to shopkeeper. 1909, Huo Yuanjia, 4 1 year-old, was introduced to Shanghai by the farmer, accepted the martial arts of the bishop in the gymnastics club, and was named as one of the top ten martial arts celebrities in Cangzhou. On the occasion of the anniversary of the founding of Jason Wu Club 10, he personally attended the meeting and wrote four characters "Martial Spirit" to commemorate Huo Yuanjia.
Huo Yuanjia's main achievements:
On June 19 1 00, Huo Yuanjia founded "China Gymnastics Club" (later renamed as Sports Club) in Shanghai with the help of martial arts colleagues such as Nong. This club has strict restrictions on its members. Anyone who joins the club must have an introducer. If any violation is found after joining the club, he will be dismissed immediately. The club was founded in 19 10, initiated by, Nong, Chen and others. It is the earliest sports group established in China.
Jason Wu is marked by the three-star national flag and the three-star emblem of sports, wisdom and Germany. It represents Jason Wu's aim of cultivating body, intelligence and morality, and advocates and develops the spirit of Jason Wu, which includes patriotism, self-cultivation, justice and helping others. There are also codes of conduct including personality, demeanor, words and deeds, service and friendship. After Huo Yuanjia's brand gained a firm foothold in Shanghai, the Alliance made persistent efforts. 1909 began to prepare for the "Jason Wu Gymnastics Club" in Wangjiazhai, Zhabei, which is naturally the name of Huo Yuanjia.
Huo presided over martial arts, studied military affairs and became president. "Jason Wu Gymnastics Club" claims to promote the spirit of Wushu and recruit healthy men aged 65,438+02-35. In fact, martial arts groups like Jason Wu Gymnastics Club sprang up all over the country in the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China.
In the meantime, there is naturally a simple pursuit of strengthening the country, but there are also various political forces behind it, which help to form factions to achieve the realistic goal of "political power (including the handle) from the barrel of a gun". Although his life is short, it is vigorous and full of legend.
