Dr. Liu, a native of Dongguan, Guangdong Province, is the chairman of Mingfeng Group Holding Co., Ltd. and the vice chairman and chief executive officer of Golden Supreme Jewelry. In the jewelry industry, it enjoys the reputation of "king of jewelry" and "giant of gold jewelry". The Group owns Mingfeng Plaza SHOPPINGMALL, Mingfeng Diamond Jewelry, Jinlong Jewelry, Mingfeng Department Store and energy (natural gas) industries. Jinlong Jewelry, a wholly-owned subsidiary, is one of the largest gold production and processing enterprises in China at present, and has the position of "golden leader" in the field of gold crafts and gifts. In 2009, Dr. Liu and the chairman of Hong Kong Resources spent a total of HK$ 500 million to successfully reorganize and acquire Golden Supreme and maintain its listing status. Of the HK$ 500 million purchase price, HK$ 70 million was used to pay for "shell purchase" and another HK$ 430 million was used to repay debts.
