history
Historical books such as Lin 'an County Records, West Lake Grand View, Hangzhou Prefecture Records and Zhejiang Tongzhi all record the heroic feat of Hangzhou Prefecture in governing Song Wu in the Northern Song Dynasty. In the above historical records, Wu Songyuan is an artist who roams the rivers and lakes. He "looks strange and wants to make his skills outside the Golden Gate" and "is not a thief". Gao Quan, the magistrate of Hangzhou, saw that Song Wu was skilled in martial arts and outstanding in talent, so he invited him to the mansion and made him the capital commander. Soon, because of his achievements, he was promoted to jurisdiction and became the confidant of the magistrate. Later, Gao Quan was dismissed because he offended powerful people and was flattered by traitors. Song Wu was also implicated and kicked out of the yamen. He was succeeded by Cai Yan, the son of the traitor Cai Jing. Relying on his father's power, he abused government to harm the people, and the people complained bitterly, calling Cai Yan "Cai Hu". Song Wu hated this traitor, and he was determined to risk his life to harm the people. One day, he hid in front of Cai Fu with a sharp sword. When Cai Hu was crowding round, he rushed forward with an arrow and stabbed Cai Yan several times. Cai Yan immediately ended his life. Officers and men swarmed to besiege Song Wu, and eventually Song Wu was captured by officers and men because he was outnumbered. He died in prison after being severely punished. The local "people deeply felt their virtue and were buried by the Xiling Bridge in Hangzhou", and later generations erected a monument titled "Tomb of the Song Dynasty".
