Lichuan City is located in Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture, Hubei Province.

Lichuan City belongs to Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture in Hubei Province, which is located in the southwest border of Hubei Province. Sichuan and Chongqing in the west, Enshi in the east, Xiaoxiang in the south, Three Gorges in the north and four counties and two districts in Chongqing. It is the largest and most populous county-level city in Enshi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture.

Lichuan, with fertile land and rich products, is the hometown of Yin Lichuan and Gong Mi. Since ancient times, it has been a favorable Sichuan, an Italian Sichuan, hence the name "hand in hand with Kaichuan". The distance from east to west is 92km, the length from north to south is 105km, and the total area is 4605.53km2, which governs 2 streets, 8 towns and 4 townships. In April 2020, with the approval of the Hubei Provincial People's Government, it withdrew from the poverty-stricken county sequence.

Enshi is located in the southwest of Hubei Province, at the junction of Hubei, Hunan and Chongqing, bordering Qianjiang District of Chongqing in the west, Wanzhou District of Chongqing in the north, Xiangxi Prefecture of Hunan Province in the south and Shennongjia and Yichang in the east, with an area of 24,060.26 square kilometers. Enshi Prefecture was founded in August 1983, with 29 ethnic groups including Tujia, Miao, Dong, Han, Hui, Mongolian, Yi, Naxi and Zhuang.
