Lu Chunling is one of the outstanding representatives of flute art in southern China, and is praised as the "magic flute" by domestic and foreign audiences. At the age of seven, he studied flute from a cobbler, and became interested in flute art. In his teens, he joined the folk silk and bamboo group Ziyun National Music Society and organized the China National Orchestra with friends at 1940. Lu Chunling in his youth, forced by life, once drove a car and stepped on a tricycle; The hardships of life did not overwhelm him. In addition to using a flute to relieve the depression in his chest, he also used the convenience of driving and pedaling to find teachers to visit friends and hone himself. 1953, Lu Chunling participated in the preparatory work of Shanghai National Orchestra, and later became a soloist of Shanghai National Orchestra. From 1976, he was transferred to Shanghai Conservatory of Music to teach.

Lu Chunling is a flute player and music educator. He has taught students all over the world, and many young and middle-aged flute players have received his guidance.
