Union Medical College Hospital is one of the earliest hospitals in China to carry out renal biopsy, and he is the main person in charge of this work. Renal biopsy is of great significance for the diagnosis and treatment of renal diseases. Since percutaneous renal biopsy was carried out in 198 1, nearly 10,000 cases of renal biopsy have been carried out, with a success rate of over 95%. Over the years, renal biopsy technology has been used to guide clinical work, determine the treatment plan according to pathological types, and improve the cure rate. Carry out immunofluorescence technology and ultrastructural research on renal diseases, and establish and improve laboratory work. To study the ultrastructure of IgA nephropathy and compare the argument that IgA nephropathy and henoch-schonlein purpura nephritis are the same clinicopathological entity. In the study of lupus nephritis, the special manifestations of SLE immunofluorescence were found, and the basis for early diagnosis of subclinical lupus nephritis was put forward.

He has a rigorous academic attitude, pays attention to training young doctors, sets an example and serves as a national senior nephrologist class. He teaches students of Union Medical College every year and is a master tutor.
