Janet L. janet yellen, female, 1946 was born in Brooklyn, New York, USA on August 3rd. She is currently the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Federal Reserve and a professor at the School of Economics and Business of UC Berkeley, a famous American university. Yellen graduated from Brown University (Bachelor of Economics) and Yale University (Doctor of Economics), then served as a professor at Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley, and served as the chairman of the18th Council of Economic Advisers (nominated by former US President Bill Clinton). He has twice won the Haas School of Business Award of the University of California, Berkeley, and served as the vice chairman of the Federal Reserve Board (term: 20 10, 10,4-2013,10,4). As the current chairman of the US Federal Reserve Board of Directors, Yellen became the first female head of the Federal Reserve in its 100-year history and the first chairman of the Federal Reserve with a Democratic background since Paul Volcker in the 1980s.
