Why is Leifeng Pagoda in Hangzhou and Jinshan Temple in Zhenjiang?
According to Feng Menglong's "Warning Story", Xu Xian and Bai Niangzi met Fahai Zen Master of Jinshan Temple after opening a pharmacy at Zhenjiang Wharf. Therefore, the Buddhist monk Fahai is related to this legend. However, Fahai written by Feng Menglong still seems to be a "positive figure", which is of great significance to Heaven.

Perhaps because of the progress of the times, people's impression of Fahai today is a dramatic figure who does all kinds of evil. Jinshan Temple, located on the Jinshan Mountain in the northwest of Zhenjiang, was built in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. Built on the hill, the temple is a famous Buddhist temple in China. It is said that Fahai is also true. In history, Zhenjiang and Hangzhou had frequent contacts.

Extended data

Leifeng Pagoda is located on Leifeng Mountain in Zhao Xi, south bank of West Lake Scenic Area in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang Province. The Leifeng Pagoda was originally built by Wu Wang and He Yi in 977 AD as a tribute to the Buddha's hair relics. Because it just happened to catch up with the completion of this tower, Sun Shi, the wife of Qian Hongchu who died shortly after the Northern Song Dynasty, was named Guifei Tower. Because its peak is called Leifeng Pagoda, it is gradually called Leifeng Pagoda.

The cultural relics unearthed from Leifeng Tower are exhibited in Gushan Museum of Zhejiang Museum and will be exhibited in the museum all the year round. This is the first large-scale cultural relics exhibition since the collapse of Leifeng Tower in 90 years, including 8 national first-class cultural relics. They are: Gold and silver Ashoka Pagoda, gold and copper statue of Sakyamuni, Long live the Millennium gold and silver box, Long live the Millennium gold and silver pad, jade, auspicious, parrot-patterned gold and silver belt, and Rui Rui.
