Zhang Taiyan, whose real name is Lin Bing, is from Yuhang, Zhejiang, a modern democratic revolutionary and famous scholar in China. He has written a lot in his life, including New Dialect, Beginning of Literature, Decimal Question and Answer, and On the Balance of National Heritage, all of which are compiled into a series of books.

Zhang Taiyan is an important figure in the modern history of China. He is not only a scholar with exquisite research on the cultural heritage of the Chinese nation, but also a gardener with peaches and plums all over the world. Lu Xun once listened to his class and praised him as a "learned revolutionary". As a democracy fighter, Zhang Taiyan once dominated the historical stage for national liberation, national independence and people's prosperity. Although he was depressed and confused all his life, he was always different at major historical juncture.

1895, after the defeat of the Sino-Japanese War of 1894-1895, the Qing government signed the treaty of shimonoseki with Japan, which triggered the Reform Movement. At this time, Zhang Taiyan resolutely fled the family of scholarly family and devoted himself to the patriotic national salvation movement. He supported Kang Youwei and Liang Qichao's reformist movement, but opposed Kang Youwei's deification of Confucius and the feudal practice of treating Kang Youwei as a "saint of the South China Sea", which initially showed his democratic spirit. The Reform Movement of 1898 went bankrupt, and the bourgeois democratic revolution rose. Kang Youwei opposed the revolution as the leader of the royalist party. Zhang Taiyan flatly cut off his braid, majestically announced a complete break with the reformists, and published "Refuting Kang Youwei's On Revolution", refuting Kang Youwei's reformist argument, denouncing the royalist party for moving against the historical trend and emphasizing that revolution is the best way out. The article is the most brilliant work in Zhang Taiyan's revolutionary exposition, which can be said to be a feat to promote historical progress at that time.

After the Revolution of 1911, due to the failure of the bourgeois old democratic revolution, Zhang Taiyan was once depressed. He just comforted himself with learning. "He was isolated by the times by using the wall built by himself and others." However, his anti-imperialist and patriotic thoughts have come out in generate several times. 1965438+In February 2004, Yuan Shikai's dream of restoring monarchy became increasingly exposed, and Zhang Taiyan rose up and resisted. He used the big medal that Yuan Shikai had given him as a fan pendant and ran to the presidential palace, cursing Yuan Shikai for his malicious intentions. After the September 18th Incident, Zhang Taiyan persisted in resisting Japan. Until 1936 died, he also agreed with China's "August 1st Declaration" and the idea of uniting against Japan. Zhang Taiyan is an outstanding revolutionary with anti-imperialist and patriotic thoughts, and upholding the truth is the source of his anti-imperialist and patriotic strength.
