In today's China poetry world, Li Ying and Li Xiaoyu are a beautiful scenery. Father Li Ying is known as the "evergreen tree in poetry". At the age of 82, he still insists on writing and has published 58 poems. His works "Mourning in January", "I am proud" and "I am a tree and my China" are still widely read. Daughter Li Xiaoyu, a famous contemporary poet, is currently the deputy editor of Poetry magazine. She has published eight poems, including Song of Yanling, Rose Valley, Dong Fangzhiguang and Statue of Sound. Among them, The Red Scarf won the Third National Excellent New Poetry Award, the First Solemn Literature Award and the Second Iron Man Literature Award. Like her father, Li Xiaoyu is modest and low-key, but when it comes to her father and poetry, she is full of passion.

Growing up with my father's poems

Rain Li

In Li Xiaoyu's eyes, his father Li Ying seems to be born for poetry. "My father began to write poetry at the age of 16 until he was in his 80 s. Poetry has been with him for more than 60 years, so he has worn out half a drawer of pencils." Li Xiaoyu said that in life, father seems to lack a lot of things. He doesn't smoke, drink, play mahjong or dance. But I always wander in the spiritual world I created. At the age of 76, he completed 5 1 book of poetry and named it "Departure". "This book means that my father's youth will start again. He feels that he can explore more new things and write better poems than in the past. " Li Xiaoyu said that until today, there are still huge emotional waves in my father's heart, and he still has the same passion for poetry. As the daughter of Li Ying, Li Xiaoyu grew up with her father's poems. "When my father began to write poetry, there was no me. Poetry, accompanied by the maturity of his father; My father's poems grew with me. " Li Xiaoyu said that what impressed her most in her childhood were countless late nights. When she woke up, her father was sitting at the table, writing poems in a newspaper with dark walls and shutters ... Li Xiaoyu.

Many times, Li Xiaoyu was the first reader of his father's poems. She often sneaks into her father's study and looks at his manuscripts. 1976, the long poem "Mourning Premier Zhou Enlai" written by my father was not published in that special period. Father silently hid it at the bottom of the drawer, and it was difficult for Li Xiaoyu to put it down after reading it occasionally, and every time tears wet the manuscript paper. In middle school, Li Xiaoyu, like thousands of young intellectuals in Qian Qian, went to work in the vast world and exercised in the melting pot of the army. The difference is that when others are looking for an immediate solution, she draws inspiration from nature. 1972, 2 1 year-old Li Xiaoyu published her first collection of poems, Herbs Collection, and never closed it again. Different from her father's writing style, Li Xiaoyu's poems are delicate and gentle, and she likes to convey her real experience of life with poems full of life breath. Although the poetry world has declined in recent years, Li Xiaoyu has been sticking to it, using his keen intuition and delicate emotions to explore the bits and pieces of ordinary life. She said that life is the soil where poetry grows. Only by maintaining the love and passion for life can we write exciting poems.

Life is as plain as poetry.

Rain Li

Li Xiaoyu writes about life with poems, and her life is as simple as her poems. Li Xiaoyu said that both she and her father like to live the simplest life. They are not used to holding parties in restaurants outside. The food at home is simple, as long as there are noodles and pickles, everything is hot. As poets and editors, father and daughter live in a castle of paper all day long, but they regard paper as gold. Li Xiaoyu said that after her desk calendar was used up, she kept it for her father to wear with a rope to make a notebook every year. Until these years, the desk calendar is full of colorful "a smile a day" and "a dish a day", which is not enough to stop. Father also personally turned the envelope over, turned the paper printed by the printing factory or the old envelope sent by others over and posted it again. The envelope turned over by my father is very smooth and easy to use. From here to there, their family has formed a rule that all used paper should be tidied up to prevent it from being turned over and reused. My father has been riding an old flying pigeon bike for decades, and he is still the "baby" at home. When my father was over 80 years old, he still insisted on running around the city by bike. Influenced by his family, Li Xiaoyu is low-key and simple. She said that the most willing thing to do at ordinary times is to read quietly in the room. Li Xiaoyu has been engaged in the editing of Poetry Magazine for more than 30 years, and has compiled and distributed a large number of influential poems. A large number of young poets she has trained have made their mark in the field of poetry. She is still diligent, careful in editing, and meticulous in correcting manuscripts and answering letters. She wants to be like her father. Anyone who has sent her letters, manuscripts or books will reply in person, and she will also help others translate manuscripts, compile books and recommend them for publication ... But she said that compared with her father, she did not do enough ... For a long time, Li Xiaoyu refused many requests for media interviews and videos. She said, if readers want to know me, please come to me in my poems and get to know me.

Deep in the dream is the hometown.

Like his father, Li Xiaoyu has unforgettable feelings for Tangshan. Li Xiaoyu said that when she was a child, she knew her hometown from her father's poems, such as The Cave in the Phoenix Mountain, The Bank of the Douhe River and The Path to School. Tangshan, a kind name, often appears in her father's works. Her father used a "pen with a ring" to express her simple love for her hometown, and also connected her feelings with the city, this land and people on this land. Li Xiaoyu really entered his hometown in 1969. At that time, 18-year-old Li Xiaoyu came to Zhongmenzhuang Commune in Feng Run County with his father's expectation and settled in line. Two years of life in the queue has made her originally imagined hometown tangible. "It was an unforgettable youth memory." Li Xiaoyu said that she left her youth and sweat on the land of her hometown, and the landscape of her hometown also gave her endless creative sources: long ridges, sunflowers, low walls of adobe houses, small oil lamps ... She won the third national excellent new poetry award and the first solemn literature award, and the poetry collection "Red Scarf" recorded this youth. Since then, Li Xiaoyu has returned to his hometown many times. Li Xiaoyu, who just entered Poetry magazine, came to Tangshan on the eighth day after the 1976 Tangshan earthquake. On the ruins of her hometown, she tearfully wrote "The Red Flag that Can't Fall" and other works. 1996, 20th anniversary of Tangshan earthquake, Li Xiaoyu accompanied his father back to Tangshan and stood in the square of the earthquake-resistant monument. The father and the daughter could not help crying out of their skirts. In the long poem "Looking for a City" published by Guangming Daily, my father wrote the deep affection of father and daughter for their hometown as soon as possible: "It is in this ruins/new city without epitaph that they stand up with their heads held high ..." Li Xiaoyu said that Tangshan is her root, and her hometown makes her life and poetry shine at the same time. No matter where she is, no matter how far she goes, her hometown always shares her feelings. Just as my father wrote in his letter before returning to Tangshan this time: "The mountain in my hometown condenses into my bones, its water flows into my blood, and its soil breeds the genes of my life. I grew up eating her milk ... no matter where I left her, no matter how long I left her, I always missed her. She attracts me like a huge magnetic field all the time. " [ 1]

"Poetry should reflect a kind of warmth, a kind of true feelings. Only in this way can you impress readers. " "It's easier to write sadness than happiness. To visualize this emotion, don't just use this word, but break it down into several details. " "No matter how realistic the author is in front, he will always extract something in the end. This is the value of a poem. " "About some words that are often used in poetry, such as helplessness and sadness, don't say it directly, try to be materialized, let readers feel and get information. Be good at creating contrast, creating a sense of distance, and then creating beauty. " "Poetry doesn't care what you want to write, but how you want to write and how to impress people." "The first is to be good at discovering poetry in life, but after expressing it, you can't just touch yourself. Second, be good at imagination and create a feeling of flying. " "The author only needs to express what you want to express with a few very representative images, and there is no need to write out everything you want to tell the readers, so that the readers can go if they want." "In the use of language, we should pay attention to the combination of reality and reality to enhance the tension of language. Shouting that the wolf is coming, there is really a wolf behind, that is not literature. Don't write poetry too much like poetry. " "At the beginning of writing a poem, don't expect to express a philosophy and write it directly." "In a sense, the history of mankind is the history of human war. The museum can be regarded as an exhibition hall of war history to some extent, but this extremely heavy thing forms a strong contrast with the hydrogen balloon. That kind of influence came out immediately. " "The topic should be witty and clever. You must be able to choose materials. " [2]
