I graduated from college in June, 2003, and the film channel is playing Beautiful Feet starring Ni Ping and Yolanda. Poverty and backwardness in the west and children's thirst for knowledge deeply shocked her. This gave her the idea of going to the west and wanted to do something for it. When I became one sixth of the first batch of volunteers and went to serve in Xinjiang, my joy was beyond words. She finally got on the train to the west for the first time.
At the end of August 2003, young people who walked together for the same goal, under the warm reception of the Youth League Committee of the autonomous region, quickly accepted Xinjiang and learned about Xinjiang. Pink and 29 other volunteers were assigned to Qitai County, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture. In September 1, she signed up for Qitai No.1 Middle School. The school leaders attach great importance to this new college student volunteer. At work, she laid down her burden, not only took two English classes, but also served as the deputy secretary of the Youth League Committee. For a newly graduated student, this kind of workload is very large. What's more, she is still a newcomer in the northwest, and she still doesn't adapt to all aspects. It can be said that from the first day of voluntary service, the burden on her shoulders is very heavy. The high hopes of school leaders, students' thirst for knowledge, and parents worried about her in the south all have deep expectations for her. She doesn't complain about others, doesn't feel sorry for herself, turns pressure into motivation, and actively faces everything that life has given her. When it comes to volunteering in the west, there is nothing earth-shattering. All you have to do is trivial things. But it is this series of ordinary that makes the extraordinary. She has English classes in two classes and is required to get up early and study in the morning every day. After the morning reading, the next thing is to attend classes, prepare lessons, correct homework, tutor students and deal with things in the group. You can't be idle at the end of the day. In her own words, "Time passed so fast that I didn't have time to think. One day passed." It was her efforts that quickly integrated into the large group of Qitai No.1 Middle School, which was praised by leaders, respected by colleagues and loved by students. In teaching, she works hard as a student. She often listens to experienced teachers, consults a large number of teaching materials, and prepares lessons carefully, so that students can master knowledge faster and better and realize digestion on the spot. Her class is lively and the students like to listen to it. Every time she comes down from the exam, her class results are always among the best. Outside the classroom, she pays attention to cultivating feelings with students, educating people with affection, helping students solve problems encountered in daily life and being their bosom friends. As a result, many students who are tired of learning English begin to change and become willing to learn and eager to learn English. Some students are poor, so she uses several subsidies from the state to buy some daily necessities and school supplies for them. One year's service soon ended, and she was invited by county leaders, school leaders and other local units. She declined politely and returned to the mainland.
With her education and ability, she soon found a job in Shenzhen. Although he is no longer a volunteer, he still continues to pay attention to the western plan and college student volunteers, especially the reports from Xinjiang. Every time I surf the Internet, I go to the website of the Western Plan. There is a beautiful western complex and a beautiful youth. In the bustling city, she carefully recalled the bits and pieces in Xinjiang, every day of volunteering in Changji Qitai, the ups and downs of volunteering, and the laughter and laughter when she was with her classmates. Pink finally found out, in fact, she has been attached to the charming Xinjiang! How many days and nights, she wants to return to Xinjiang! Go back to Changji Qitai! When she told her parents and friends about this decision, her elderly parents stayed up all night, and her friends were even more surprised. Her parents advised her again and again to think it over and not to make a decision on impulse that she would regret for life. She told them seriously and convinced them of her choice. When her parents saw that her mind had been made up, they stopped persuading her. After doing the ideological work of her parents, she will never forget May 14. On this day, she returned to Xinjiang, which she missed day and night, and returned to Qitai No.1 Middle School, which was warmly welcomed by school leaders, teachers and students.
Today, Pink has been employed by Qitai No.1 Middle School, and continues to serve as the English teaching of two classes and the work of the Youth League Committee. She said that she does not regret coming to Xinjiang again, and she hopes to contribute to the construction and development of Xinjiang through her own efforts.
