Qin Dong is the "God" in the hearts of Tujia people in Zhangjiajie.
The story of Qin Dong is widely circulated in Yongding, Sangzhi, Cili, Shimen, Hefeng and Xianfeng in western Hubei. "Qindong has turned over for 500 years" is a good wish of local Tujia people to Qindong. June 6th has become a traditional memorial day.
According to legend, one year, the court killed many Tujia mountain people, and Qin Dong's mother was also killed. After his mother died, he had a dream that there were three big bamboos in her grave, which were to be cut into bows and arrows and practiced martial arts for three years and six months. When the chicken flew and the dog jumped, she opened the door, shot an arrow at the capital, killed the emperor and avenged the Tujia people and their mother. Qin Dong told her sister about it. Brothers and sisters cut bamboo and make bows and arrows. Qin Dongguan comes to the door and practices martial arts in the hall every day. Practice, practice for three years. When I learned about Kung Fu, my sister couldn't help it any longer, so she drove the chickens and dogs away, making them fly around, and then asked Tan Dong to draw his bow and shoot arrows in a panic. Qin Gui saw this, took out his bow and arrow, and went straight to the capital. Whoosh! Hey! "It's three arrows. But before the fire broke out, the first arrow landed in the Lishui River 30 miles away, which is now called the Arrow Pool. The second arrow landed in Lizhou, 300 miles away, which is now the Arrow Gate. The third arrow shot at the emperor's dragon chair. At the beginning of the emperor's reign, Tan Dong missed an arrow. After Qin Dong opened the arrow, the bamboos in the backyard exploded together, and one man and one horse ran out of each bamboo crevice, but because the time was not up, they fell to the ground and died. Paddy fields used to be the rice of several mountains and the military food of Qindong, but they also turned into piles of loess because of lack of time. The emperor was taken aback and took the arrow from the dragon chair. As soon as I saw the words "King of Tainan in Maogang" engraved on the shaft of the arrow, I sent people to arrest him everywhere and finally brought Tainan to Beijing. Before leaving, my sister told Qin Dong, "If the emperor asks you whether the nine dragons on you are made or painted, you can say that they are painted. "When Qin Dong arrived in Beijing, the emperor interrogated him in the lobby, pointed to Qin Dong's back and asked," Is the dragon on you made or painted? " Qin Dong said, "This is a painting". As a result, the emperor ordered Qin Dong to be skinned and executed. Who knows, when the skin was peeled off, I saw a few flashes of golden light, and all the nine dragons on Qin Dong went to heaven, and suddenly it was dark, and the sun and the moon in the capital were unknown. The emperor knew that he had killed the wrong Mr. Right, so he had to let Qin Dong sit on the throne three times a year. Said, entrusted with the Tujia people's infinite feelings for Qin Dong. Legends are not groundless fabrications. Qin Dong has detailed records in Ming History and related local chronicles.
At the end of Yuan Dynasty, the cruel and corrupt rule of Mongolian nobles aroused vigorous peasant uprisings all over the country. The brutal rule of Wu Yu, commander-in-chief of Wu Tongzhi and Xuanwei, in Maogang, Wei Dayong, Huguang and Lizhou aroused the strong resistance of Tujia people in Maogang. Qin Dong led the Tujia people's uprising and drove away Wu and his son. After that, the uprising team continued to grow. Soon, Zhu Yuanzhang appointed Qin Gui as Cili's peace envoy. Soon, he was appointed as Hu Guangli. This position corresponds to the current President of the High Court. Qin Dong's rise and fall actually lost the relieving, so he was very dissatisfied.
In the third year of Hongwu in Ming Dynasty, Huguang area suffered from a severe drought. However, instead of comforting the victims, the imperial dynasty in Zhu Ming carried out a policy of "clearing the countryside" for the vast number of ethnic minorities in this area, driving away refugees, occupying land with officials, reclaiming land with soldiers, plundering tributes crazily, and forcing them to build palaces with fragrant nanmu. The local villagers are overwhelmed and miserable. Qin Dong felt very uneasy when he saw his compatriots being ravaged by the Zhu Ming dynasty. In addition, old enemies and new enemies broke out together. Finally, in April of the third year of Hongwu, it was revealed again.
Qin Dong led the Tujia Rebel Army and first rushed into Cili County. Zhu Yuanzhang, the Ming emperor, heard the news and quickly sent Yang Jing, such as Hu Guangping Zhang, to suppress it. Then he sent seven generals, including Jiang Xiahou, Zhou Dexing, Yi Ning, Hou Cao and Chen Liang, to conquer Tainan together, with a total strength of more than 80,000 people. But Qin Dong was fearless and led fifteen thousand Tujia rebels to resist bravely. The first battle was fought in Qindongcheng, Cili, then in Baizhang Gorge, the third in Xiaojiayu Village and the fourth in Maogang Village for seven years, killing the enemy and leaving his armor behind. Finally, because he was outnumbered, Qin Dong retreated to Maogang Village, a dangerous terrain, for seven years.
With the advantage of numbers, the Ming army surrounded the village for seven years in an attempt to trap Tan Dong in the mountains. Qinnan challenged 3,000 people to go down the mountain, and then captured Huang Yongqian, the general of Yang Jing Department, with the scheme of pretending to surrender, and found out the details of the arrogance and lack of food and dissatisfaction with the soil and water in the south of China, and decided to build a village by the mountain and fight a protracted war with the Ming army.
Zhu Yuanzhang was so angry that he rebuked Yang Jing for saying, "I acted rashly and violated my words. I can't pacify this thief. I lost it and fell into its trap. What is your wisdom? " At the same time, the Senate Dade was sent to help, but it was still unable to attack. In a rage, Zhu Yuanzhang appointed Zhou Dexing as the general to pacify the south, replacing Yang Jing, and then suppressed Qin Gui. Zhou Dexing dispatched all health officers and soldiers such as Lizhou and Changde. In the spring of Hongwu four years, Zhou Dexing sent troops to surround Maogang village and build Dayong Acropolis. However, Tan Dong avoided his spirit and did not go down the mountain for a decisive battle. "You have thousands of troops and horses, and I have ten thousand caves in Qian Shan." . Zhou Dexing looked at the mountain and sighed, but there was nothing he could do. It is said that Qin Dong is building fortifications, training military forces and mobilizing the rebels to dig mountains and grow grain. Up to now, seven years later, there are still many relics of that year on Zhaizhai Mountain, such as watchtowers, caves, murals, clothes drying poles, Diaoyutai and so on. The two sides were deadlocked until April of the following year. Cao Chenliang led troops south from Sangzhi, joined forces with Zhou Dexing, and attacked Qinian Village. Zhou Dexing bought Cili Zhu Siji as a pioneer. Zhu Siji is the son-in-law of two women in Tainan. He couldn't resist the temptation of Zhou Dexing's fame, so he climbed up with Zhu Yuanzhang's relatives with the same surname and wanted to make a fortune. He advised Zhou Dexing that in seven years, thousands of holes and valleys were built in the village, and the land was vast. In addition, Tujia people in the rebel army are used to fighting in the mountains, so it is impossible for the Ming army to attack on a large scale. As a son-in-law, he is willing to trick Tan Dong into going up the mountain, then catch him and send him to Kyoto. In this way, the rebels on the mountain dispersed. Hearing this, Zhou Dexing was so happy that he immediately sent Zhu Siqi up the mountain.
After Zhu Siqi went up the mountain, he tricked Qin Dong into going down the mountain, and the Ming army captured Qin Dong in Cili Jinyan Mountain. After the Ming army captured Qin Dong, they immediately put him in a cage and sent him to Nanjing by water. On the sixth day of June, Hong Wu was executed (skinned) by Zhu Yuanzhang. Although the Qindong Rebel Army failed, the story of Qindong was made up by Tujia people and has been passed down to this day.
Qin dong's legend of drying skin
The sixth day of the sixth lunar month is the anniversary of the death of Qin Hou, a hero of Tujia nationality. Tujia folk in Zhangjiajie spread the story of sunburn on June 6 after Qin Dynasty, which formed a grand festival for Tujia people. According to the genealogy of the Liu family in Liangjiang, "In twenty-five years, after Mao Gang rebelled against Qin, Mao sent troops to crusade, pursued it to Yongding Village for seven years, and skinned it after capturing Qin.
According to legend, on this day, Zhu Yuanzhang, Emperor Taizu of Ming Dynasty, took Qin Hou, the hero of Tujia uprising, to the execution ground and carried out skinning and torture. When the skin is peeled off, the flesh of three golden dragons turns into three golden lights and flies away. Suddenly it was dark, and I didn't know the sun and the moon for seven days and seven nights, regardless of day and night. Zhu Taizu's consciousness was to kill the right person by mistake, and heaven and earth could not tolerate it. Hurriedly kneeling on the ground, praying to heaven and earth, promised to let Queen Tan sit on the throne for three days on June 6, 16 and 26 every year and worship and knock on the door nine times. May the clouds clear and the sun and the moon see the light again. In order to get the true image of Qin Bei, Mao ordered Qin Bei to be blown into drums for the temple. In order to prevent moth and mildew, the sun-dried skin is turned once every year on the sixth day of June, so this day is also called "sun-drying skin after sun-drying", and some people have inherited this custom since then.
