Brief introduction of Chen Shouting

The play tells the story of a beggar who becomes a national entrepreneur Chen Shouting. The whole drama revolves around three big scenes with distinct lines-Zhoucun, Qingdao and Jinan, and three small scenes with dark lines-Northeast China, Tianjin and Shanghai. Through the contradiction of each scene, the drama is wonderful in series. Chen Shouting, who is illiterate, can manipulate machines, and can adjust the market, has extraordinary intelligence; Chen Shouting, who is courageous, hardworking, anti-Japanese, punishes evil and promotes good; Chen Shouting, who is rude, skillful, full of strategy and vulgar. To paraphrase a famous philosophical saying: Chen Shouting is the perfect unity of contradictions.
