Profile: Liu Xiang (about 77-6 BC), formerly known as Gengsheng, was born in Pei Jun County (now Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province). Liu Xiang is a famous scholar, bibliographer and writer. The Warring States Policy compiled by him has a great influence on later generations.

Historical evaluation: Liu Xiang has a high talent, but he is not knowledgeable enough. Liu Xiang is not so studious, like the rising sun; Strong and studious, like the light of the moon; Old and studious, bright as a candle. Liu Xiangxue is so talented and sharp.
