Interview before death

In order to welcome the 60th anniversary of the founding of the school, in early March, our reporter interviewed the old headmaster of Liu Zhilian. At that time, due to time, the old headmaster was still unfinished. Later, we visited the 85-year-old man again. The old man is a glass of wine, the more he drinks, the more fragrant he becomes. Visiting the old headmaster again, I deeply feel that the old man is modest and rigorous, and at the same time I feel that the glory of the school after 60 years is hard to come by.

Talking about the development of the school during her tenure, the old headmaster said with deep affection: too many people have paid a lot for her, and the school can achieve today's achievements, and there are three key periods that people can't forget.

1948, 10 At the end of the year, the administrative office of Hebei, Shandong and Henan decided to jointly build Heze Normal School in the three provinces of Hebei, Shandong and Henan. Enrollment began in February and officially started in April. In August, the school was renamed Plain Heze Normal School; 1952 65438+February was changed to Heze No.1 Normal School in Shandong Province, referred to as Heze No.1 Middle School for short.

At the beginning of the school, Heze was just liberated and lacked teachers. Except some old teachers from the liberated areas, most of them are new teachers. Many of them have unknown sources and complex components. Although their professional level is high, their thoughts are not stable enough. Most of the applicants are returned students from Jiangnan. Because they live in the Kuomintang-controlled areas, they are skeptical or even dissatisfied with the policies of * * * *. Therefore, how to do well the ideological and political work of teachers and students and adhere to the correct direction of running schools has become the primary problem that schools need to solve urgently.

1In April, 1949, Wang was transferred to the school as vice president and secretary of the party branch to take charge of the work.1In June, 1952, he served as principal and secretary of the party branch. Wang was born in a war environment and has rich methods and experience in ideological and political work. In order to normalize the school, he led the school team to do a lot of ideological and political work from caring for teachers' lives. In addition to the art teacher week mentioned above, there are many typical examples.

Yin Tingyi, a Chinese teacher, is from the northeast. He is afraid that it will freeze in winter and he will not be able to buy a quilt for a while. When President Wang found out, he sent his own quilt. The house rented by Xue Jingang, an education teacher, caught fire, her clothes were destroyed and her life was difficult. Her stepmother regretted it and tried to commit suicide. The school immediately funded the renovation of the house and helped solve other difficulties. President Wang sent quilts to comfort his stepmother in many ways, so that the family gradually stabilized, and the teachers were deeply moved by their concern in life and gradually unified in their thoughts. At the same time, school leaders gave help in business and guidance in work, which gradually stabilized the teaching staff. For students, the school has strengthened education with the spirit of resisting the big, and has also achieved remarkable results. Schools began to be formal, and the quality of education and teaching continued to improve. From 65438 to 0953, it was rated as one of the four key normal schools in Shandong Province by the Education Department, and listed as one of the 200 key middle schools in China by the Education Department the following year. These achievements are the result of the joint efforts of all teachers and students headed by President Wang and the school leadership.

1958 In August, according to the decision of Shandong Provincial People's Government, Heze Teachers College was established on the basis of Heze No.1 Teachers College.

At the beginning of the establishment of Heze Normal University, the Great Leap Forward movement was being carried out all over the country. Students first "work hard for Sanqiu" and then "work hard for steelmaking". Work takes the place of study, and school work cannot be carried out normally. Yu Fengshan, then secretary of the Party Committee of the school, and Wang, then vice president, with a high sense of responsibility, decided to pull the students into the classroom as soon as possible. However, long-term work and life have made students' hearts wild, and classroom teaching is difficult to carry out normally. Therefore, school leaders pay close attention to students' ideological education, rectify the teaching order, and gradually put the school on the right track.

1May, 959, Yu Fengshan conveyed the spirit of the work conference on higher education in the whole province (Yantai Conference), and the school re-established the concept of taking teaching as the center, giving priority to classroom teaching and giving play to the leading role of teachers in the teaching process. Only by careful implementation can the school develop steadily in the next three years.

According to the spirit of the conference on streamlining institutions in Shandong Province, Heze Normal University was abolished in the summer vacation of 1962. 1963165438+10, three comrades Jin Meixian, Li Jinshi and Wang Shujing finally left the campus, and the school building was taken over by Heze No.1 Middle School.

After the impact of the "Cultural Revolution", the original Heze Teachers College's school buildings and facilities were severely damaged, the school was in ruins, the room was in a mess, all the wires were unplugged, and none of the doors and windows were intact. As soon as the teachers of Finance College arrived at the school, they started the intense school-building work. At that time, it was divided into several groups, and everyone worked hard and worked hard. One of them, Mr. Liu Shuheng, was already a famous English teacher. He usually dresses appropriately and is very scholarly. After coming to school, he resolutely put on work clothes, fastened his outer belt, carried pliers, hammers and other tools, and did maintenance work in school like ordinary workers. Thanks to their efforts, the campus was repaired in a few days, and the road to the city was also completed. Later, the school added 18 cars to get off, teachers and students went to the labor reform kiln factory in the southwest of the city to pull bricks, and built more than a dozen rows of bungalows in the west of the campus.

The first problem that the leaders and teachers from the School of Finance encounter is that their majors are wrong. Secondly, all the teachers (including those transferred from local areas) have not taken off the "smelly Laojiu" hat, and their teacher-student relationship with the students of workers, peasants and soldiers who undertake the task of "upper management reform" is naturally not normal enough. But let's work together in Qixin to tide over the difficulties together. Practice has proved that teaching and other work have achieved good results.

Although for various reasons, some teachers of Shandong University of Finance and Economics are unstable and have been transferred from normal universities, they have done a lot of work and made their own efforts during the reconstruction of Heze Teachers College, which laid the foundation for the development of the school. People in college can't forget them.

The old headmaster retired in July, 1984, and has been living in the school. He witnessed the future development of the school. In the following 25 years, under the leadership of previous leading bodies, the teachers and students of the whole school worked hard together, overcame difficulties and seized opportunities, successfully completed the major historical task of upgrading from junior college to undergraduate college, and established Heze College, the first undergraduate college in Heze history. The scale of running a school is constantly expanding, the quality of running a school is constantly improving, and the school is moving towards new glory.

Looking back on the development of the school, we can say that it has experienced ups and downs, but through the efforts of previous school leaders and teachers and students, we have passed through one difficulty after another and the school is getting better and better. However, in the critical period of the initial construction and reconstruction of Heze Teachers College, in the name of "Mr. Liu", he actually assumed the specific responsibilities of the educational administration department of the new teacher college and made outstanding and silent contributions to restoring teaching order, improving teaching quality and school development.
