During the War of Liberation, he was the head of the 61st regiment of the 7th column of the Central China Field Army, the 30th regiment of the 10th division of the 4th column of the East China Field Army, and the chief of staff of the 67th division of the 23rd Army of the Third Field Army.
After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), he served as the director and deputy commander of the General Staff of China People's Liberation Army Command. 1952 Participated in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea and served as the commander, deputy chief of staff, chief of staff and deputy commander of the 67th Division of the 23rd Army of the Volunteers. He led the troops to defend the defensive operations near the "38th parallel", successfully completed the combat mission, and helped the Korean people to resume production and rebuild their homeland, which won high praise. Won the second-class flag medal of North Korea.
After returning to China, he served as the deputy commander of the 23 rd Army and a military instructor of the Higher Military Academy. 1960 graduated from the basic department of military academies.
In the early 1960 s, he was stationed in the front line of Fujian, loyal to his duties, and attached great importance to the combat readiness training and work of the troops.
Later, he served as commander of 3 1 Group Army, deputy chief of staff of Fuzhou Military Region, deputy commander of Kunming Military Region, president of Shijiazhuang Senior Infantry School and president of Shijiazhuang Army School.
He served as deputy commander of Kunming Military Region for nearly 8 years, focusing on combat and training. He often went deep into frontier posts for inspection and guidance, and did a lot of fruitful work to strengthen army building and safeguard national unity and peace in the southwest frontier. During his tenure as the principal of an advanced infantry school, he actively studied the characteristics and laws of running a school and educating people, paid close attention to the modernization and regularization of the school, and trained a large number of qualified military talents.
