Usually a ground gun or anti-aircraft gun has six guns. An artillery regiment consists of 54 guns (all of the same model). In the past, China's ground artillery had only divisional artillery regiments and professional artillery divisions. An artillery division consists of 5 regiments and 270 guns. After the disarmament of 200,000 in 2003, all ground artillery divisions were reduced to artillery brigades (like anti-aircraft guns), with 72 guns in one brigade.
