China Plant Nutrition and Fertilizer Society was formerly known as Soil and Fertilizer Research Society of China Agricultural Society. 1978 was compiled by China Agricultural Soil and Fertilizer Society. 1982 In February, with the approval of the State Science and Technology Commission, the first member congress was held in Beijing, and the Council was formally established. Academicians of China Academy of Sciences (academicians) Chen Huagui, Zhu Zuxiang and Hou Guangjiong were elected as chairmen, vice-chairmen and advisers, and they passed badges. So far, seven national member congresses have been held.

1985 1 1 month,1May, 1990, the second and third member congresses were held in Wuhan and Beijing, Hubei Province respectively. Chen Huagui and Liu Yuling are the directors respectively, and Jiang and Huang Hongxiang are the secretaries respectively. Chen Huagui was elected honorary chairman of the third Council.

1September, 1993, according to the needs of the society's development, it was renamed China Plant Nutrition and Fertilizer Society with the approval of the Ministry of Civil Affairs, and it was a national first-class society.

1994 10 in June, the fourth national member congress was held in Chengdu, Sichuan, and 104 directors were elected, and more directors were added later! Five members, totaling 1 19, form the fourth Council. Chen Huagui is honorary chairman, Liu Yuling is re-elected chairman, Huang Hongxiang is re-elected secretary-general, and Guo is deputy secretary-general.

1in April, 1999, the fifth national congress of members was held in Guilin, Guangxi, and 150 directors were elected to form the fifth Council. Chen Huagui and Liu Sheling are honorary directors, directors, secretary-general and Guo as deputy secretary-general.

In April 2004, the Sixth National Congress of Members was held in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, and 15 1 directors were elected to form the fifth Council. Liu Gengling, Liu Gengling and Liu Gengling are honorary directors, chairman, secretary-general and deputy secretary-general.

In April, 2008, the 7th National Congress of Members was held in Haikou, Hainan Province, and 163 directors were elected to form the 7th Council. Liu Gengling,, are honorary directors, Jin Jiyun is chairman, Bai is secretary-general, and Yan 'an,, Hong, Yang Shaohai,, and Zhao Linping are deputy secretaries-general.

The Society has been established for 26 years, and after 7 councils, with the support of relevant departments and affiliated units, all previous councils have made important contributions to promoting the development of agricultural production and plant nutrition and fertilizer disciplines in China. Since its establishment, China Plant Nutrition and Fertilizer Society has given full play to the advantages of mass academic groups, carried out academic exchanges at home and abroad, popularized scientific and technological knowledge and promoted the development of disciplines; Put forward opinions, countermeasures and suggestions on major national science and technology policies, regulations and technical measures, as well as problems existing in scientific research, teaching and production of plant nutrition and fertilizer, and give full play to the role of the society as a bridge and link.
