On April 4th, 2008, 1 10 commemorated the birthday of Mr. Jian Bozan and the inaugural meeting of the Complete Works of Jian Bozan was held in Peking University. Peng Peiyun, former vice chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) and now president of China Red Cross Society, attended the meeting and unveiled the bronze statue of the old man together with Comrade Wang Xuezhen, former secretary of the school. Ismail Tiliwaldi, Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Academician Xu Zhihong, President of Peking University, and historians, publishers and relatives of Mao Lao's hometown spoke at the conference. Ismail Ahmed, former vice chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), and Hao Bin, Wang Yizhen, Wang Xiaoting and Liang Zhu, old comrades of the school, attended the meeting.

Ms. Yan Sufen, Mr. Jane Bozan's sister, recalled Mr. Jane Bozan's achievements in academic research and his equally rigorous and serious attitude towards his relatives in life. When talking about her and her family's love and yearning for the old man who died 40 years ago, Ms. Yan Sufen couldn't help but burst into tears.
