China Youshi University (Beijing), referred to as "Normal University" for short, is a national key university directly under the Ministry of Education of China, an important talent training base for China's petroleum and chemical industry system, and one of the national key universities under the "2 1 1 Project" and "985 Project". Shida, formerly known as Petroleum Industry School, was established in Beijing, 1953. It is one of the earliest petroleum engineering colleges in China. 1960 was renamed China Petroleum Institute, and 1997 was renamed Youshi University in China. The school has 18 colleges, 88 authorized points for undergraduate, master and doctoral degrees, and more than 3,000 faculty members, including nearly 500 professors and associate professors.
