The Life of the Characters in Chen Xiangping's Works
(1909 ~ 1974) At the beginning of the Anti-Japanese War, Chen Xiangzi went to the mountainous area in southern Zhejiang. In February of 27 years, when he was the chief of education in Yunhe County, he secretly attended China. In July of the following year, entrusted by the Party, he entered the Southeast Daily (Jinhua Edition), edited the supplement of Bilei, used the Kuomintang newspapers as a tool of public opinion, organized progressive writers to write articles, exposed the dark side of Kuomintang rule, and publicized anti-Japanese. He was in eastern Zhejiang, southern Anhui, eastern Jiangxi, northern Fujian and southern Fujian.

Have a great influence. When Southeast Daily was published in Nanping, Fujian, he published a short article on the pen base that revealed that Miss Kong Er took her dog to Chongqing by plane when Hong Kong fell, which caused a sensation in the southeast half. Chen Xiangping's identity has always been suspected by the enemy, who used various methods to test him. Chen Xiangping always held his horses and used clever words to deal with the past. After the victory of the Anti-Japanese War, Chen Xiangping returned to Shanghai as the editor-in-chief of the supplement of Southeast Daily, engaged in underground activities and upheld justice for his hometown. In 34 years of the Republic of China, the Kuomintang government expanded Dachang Airport, forcibly occupied a large area of farmers' land, and did not pay the demolition fee and land acquisition fee, which caused a heated discussion. Chen Xiangping published articles in Shanghai newspapers, exposing and attacking them, and it was not until he went straight to the Kuomintang Central Committee that he got a reasonable solution. In 37 years of the Republic of China, together with Lin Cheng and other comrades, he did the work of instigating the uprising of Kuomintang air force personnel. He tried to get several Kuomintang planes to rebel and fly to the liberated areas.

After liberation, Chen Xiangping successively served as the director of education bureau of shanghai Research Office and the director of Shanghai Culture and Education Commission Office. After 1956, he was transferred to vice president of Shanghai Xinzhi Publishing House and vice president of Shanghai Classical Literature Publishing House. In the early 1960s, he was transferred to Shanghai Editorial Department of Zhonghua Book Company as deputy director and deputy editor-in-chief, specializing in the collation and publication of ancient books, and made outstanding contributions to the rescue of China's precious cultural heritage.
