Why is Wudalianchi called Wudalianchi?
Because lava blocked the river, five connected volcanic dammed lakes were formed. "Wudalianchi" is named after its bead shape.

Fourteen volcanoes have erupted in Wudalianchi in different periods. The early volcano has a history of 6.5438+0.3 million years, and the recently erupted volcano has a history of 280 years. At present, the spectacular remains of volcanic eruption are still preserved. Known as "Volcano Park" and "Natural Volcano Museum", it is the base for scientific investigation and research of volcanic geology.

The last volcanic eruption occurred in1719-1721year. Volcanic lava blocked the river at that time and formed five natural lakes-volcanic dammed lakes, hence the name "Wudalianchi".

Wudalianchi can be called "the beauty of mountains, the wonder of rocks, the quietness of water and the wonder of springs". Fourteen conical volcanoes stand around the clear water of Wudalianchi, surrounded by mountains and waters, and complement each other.

Looking around, the black lava stretching 64 square kilometers is like a dragon crawling forward, like a rough sea, which is spectacular. Rows of spray cones and all kinds of lava are vivid and dizzying. The magical "volcanic ice cave" is really a must in the world. When you step into the cave in the hot summer, a frozen and frosty silver world is displayed in front of you. It feels chilly and the summer heat dissipates, as if you are in the Shuifu Ice Palace. The "warm fog" in winter is even more exciting and gratifying. In addition, the landscapes such as "Lianchi Mountain Shadow", "Hualin Boiling Spring", "Volcano Tianchi", "Stone Sea Pentium" and "Burning Castle" are even more interesting and make people linger. There are Yishen Garden and Changshou Garden in the urban area, Zhong Ling Temple in Yaoquan Mountain and Erlong Spring and Lingquan Park at the foot of the mountain for tourists to visit.
