Teacher Zhang Jianping is an early scholar engaged in theoretical research, practical research and teaching of eco-tourism and tourism environmental protection in China. The monograph "Theory and Practice of Eco-tourism" published on 200 1 is the first academic monograph to systematically study eco-tourism in China. This monograph constructs the basic theoretical system of eco-tourism in China, and takes Hainan as a case study. The monograph has been published three times and won a good reputation in the industry. Ecotourism, a textbook for tourism management in colleges and universities published in 2008, is the only national planning textbook for general higher education in China during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan period. It has been used as an important reference or designated textbook for teaching ecotourism by Shandong University, Yunnan University, Beijing Union University, Qingdao University, Sichuan University, Macau University of Science and Technology, Hunan Normal University and Hainan University, and some related majors also take it as a postgraduate entrance examination. After the book was published, it was printed three times in three years, with a print run of 12000 copies. The cover specially introduces and publicizes authoritative academic journals on tourism. In recent years, Mr. Zhang Jianping began to turn into a new research field of environmental interpretation and education, combining eco-tourism with environmental interpretation and education, focusing on environmental interpretation and education in eco-tourism areas, and completed his doctoral thesis on this topic, and published the academic monograph "Construction and Empirical Research on Environmental Interpretation System in Nature Reserves", which is the first monograph in China to systematically study environmental interpretation and education in eco-tourism areas.
