Eva Huang's father, Pin Guan, is a professor in shanghai second polytechnic university. He graduated from Tsinghua University and studied in the United States in the early 1960s. Her mother, Deng, is the editor of Xinmin Evening News, a native of Chengdu, Sichuan, and graduated from Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Her cousin is Wu Jinglian, an economist.
