Li Xiangdong was born in May 1965. He graduated from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China with a master's degree, and also received an EMBA degree from the Business School of the University of Buffalo. He is one of the founders of China Mobile Wireless Music Base. He has also won honorary titles such as "Model Worker of China Mobile Communications Corporation" and "Nomination Award of Top Ten Outstanding Young Economic Figures in Sichuan". In June 2005, Sichuan Mobile Company won the bid for the project of China Mobile Wireless Music Base.

Li Xiangdong is one of the main traders from the project of striving for a wireless music base to the specific operation in the future. In 2004, Li Xiangdong saw the success of mobile phone color ring back tone service in South Korea, and began to apply to the group to establish China mobile phone music base in Chengdu.
