Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences was founded in 1960+0. Its predecessor was the rice experimental field of Sun Yat-sen University founded by Professor Ding Ying, a famous agronomist, in 1930. 1In May 1952, it was changed to Guangdong Agricultural Experimental Field.1In April 1956, South China Institute of Agricultural Sciences of China Academy of Agricultural Sciences was established. After nearly 80 years of construction and development, our institute has become a provincial comprehensive agricultural research institution with strong comprehensive scientific and technological strength. According to the comprehensive ability evaluation results of national 1077 independent agricultural scientific research institutions during the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, eight research institutes in our college entered the top 50, among which three institutes entered the top 10, and their comprehensive strength continued to rank in the forefront of the national provincial academy of agricultural sciences.
