Lin Hanxiong, a native of Huanggang, Hubei Province, is a senior engineer and former Minister of Construction. Zhang Hao (formerly known as Lin Yuying) is a son and Lin Biao is a nephew. Born in June, 1929, graduated from Moscow Institute of Electric Power Engineering, Soviet Union, majoring in hydropower station. He has served as chief engineer of electromechanical installation company of Ministry of Water Resources and Electric Power, deputy director of General Administration of Hydropower, chief of staff of Gezhouba Project Command, deputy director of National Antarctic Investigation Committee, executive director of the State Council Technical and Economic Research Center, director of rural energy leading group office, chairman of China Energy Research Association, director of State Building Materials Bureau and minister of construction.
