On June 17, Southwest Railway released a surveillance video, which recorded the moment when Yong Yang, the driver of the D2809 train, stepped on the brakes.

The video shows that Yong Yang suddenly found that the line was abnormal. At the critical moment, he decisively stepped on the brake handle to the end, saving others' lives.

According to the news of China Railway on June 17, the party group of China National Railway Group Co., Ltd. recently decided to posthumously award the title of "Excellent Member of China Railway" to Comrade Yong Yang, the EMU driver of Guiyang Locomotive Depot of China Railway Chengdu Bureau Group Co., Ltd.

On June 4th, 2022, Yong Yang, the EMU driver of Guiyang Locomotive Depot of China Railway Chengdu Bureau Group Co., Ltd., experienced the measurement of his life.

Early in the morning, Yong Yang came to the locomotive dispatching room to go out. According to the plan, he will arrive at Guilin West Station at 1 1: 30, have a short rest, and then take other trains back to Guiyang.

Everything is as calm as before. At 9 o'clock, Yong Yang set off on time by passenger train D2809. Train monitoring shows that his left hand is always clutching the brake handle, and his right hand is lifted from time to time, and his fingers are close together to confirm the signals and lines ahead.

However, this is unexpected.

10: 22, the train runs to the entrance of Qianyuezhai Tunnel at the entrance of Rongjiang Station on Guiguang Line. With careful observation, Yong Yang suddenly found that the line was abnormal! In just 5 seconds, he took emergency braking measures and pushed the brake handle to the end.

The train just out of the tunnel derailed when it hit a mudslide that suddenly collapsed and invaded the line. Under the comprehensive protection of the line retaining wall and track structure, cross the fast-flowing Zhaihaohe Bridge and stop at Rongjiang Station.

"D2809 driver, is there?" After a burst of dizziness, Chen Xiaofang, the train conductor of the EMU, quickly walked to the car in the impact direction and contacted Yong Yang urgently.

Yong Yang's voice never came from the intercom, although the phone became more urgent every time.

This unanswered conversation is so silent that people cry.

The last scene of video surveillance stopped in Yong Yang, and the brake handle was pushed to the emergency braking position.

After learning the news of Yong Yang's death, Feng Min, the driver of Guiyang Locomotive Depot, hid in the corner and cried for a long time, losing his eternal teacher and friend.

On June 7, he drove the train safely through Yuezhai Tunnel, Zhaihaohe Bridge and Rongjiang Station, and remembered that the master was in tears again: "Please rest assured that I will follow your example and drive the car smoothly to send passengers safely to the destination."
