Tao Yuanming was born in a declining bureaucratic family, and his great-grandfather Tao Kan was born in a slight cold, and he was a military commander in Bazhou and the Duke of Changsha. Grandfather Tao Mao was the satrap of Wuchang, and his father's pottery was the satrap of Ancheng, who died young. Mother is the daughter of Meng Jia, a famous figure in the Eastern Jin Dynasty. There is a tomb of Tao Yuanming rebuilt in Qing Dynasty in Mahuiling Town, Jiujiang County, Jiangxi Province. There is a huge stone statue of Tao Yuanming in Jiujiang City.
