Who is the designer of the league flag and emblem?
Since having the league emblem, all the Communist Youth League members have put on the glittering league emblem. But how many people know who is the designer of the league emblem?

In fact, even though the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League officially promulgated the Youth League emblem in May 1959, the conclusion of this issue has not been published, and the design draft of the Youth League emblem and related written materials were almost completely lost during the Cultural Revolution.

1983 September 13, China Youth Daily published a short article referring to "Li Guojing, the designer of the Youth League emblem". 198710/On October 24th, People's Daily published an exclusive interview with Chang Shana, the representative of the 13th National Congress and president of the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts. When introducing Chang Shanna's story, the article said, "And she also designed the league emblem on the chest of the Communist Youth League members." The previous conclusions are different.

Entrusted by the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, China Youth Research Center formed an investigation team on 199415 October, and began a difficult investigation that spanned 40 years and involved domestic and foreign countries. Finally, the problem of the designer of the group emblem gradually became clear:

1April, 956, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League collected the design and lyrics of the League emblem from organizations at all levels. At the same time, Zhong Ling, then Deputy Secretary-General of China Artists Association, collected works from some professional artists. Chang Shanna, then a young teacher of the Department of Practical Arts of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, participated in and was responsible for the design and collection of the group emblem pattern in the college.

1957 At the Fifth Plenary Session of the Second Central Committee of the Communist Youth League on May 9 and the Third National Congress of the Communist Youth League held in late May, the collected design drawings were exhibited to solicit the opinions of the participants, but all the participants thought that there were no satisfactory works.

1958 One day, the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League proposed that Art editor of China Youth magazine should combine the advantages of several design patterns. On the same day, Art editor Li Guojing undertook this task and quickly submitted three design drawings. After discussion by the Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, it was decided to publish these three design drawings on the back cover of the 8th issue of China Youth magazine, 1958, to solicit further opinions from the Communist Youth League.

At the beginning of 1959, Li Guojing merged three designs into a standard drawing as required, put the ribbon with the words "Chinese Communist Youth League" on the second drawing into the first drawing, and modified the league flag with reference to the scheme of the third drawing, which made the league flag feel fluttering.

1On April 29th, 959, Hu Yaobang, then the first secretary of the Central Secretariat of the Communist Youth League, sent the standard drawing and the sample chapter made according to this standard drawing to the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China for deliberation. On April 30, the instructions were read out: "Liu, Zhou and Peng read it again to Yaobang, and they intend to agree to publish it on May 4." So Liu Shaoqi, Zhou Enlai and Peng Zhen looked around and agreed. Then, 1959, on May 4th, People's Daily and China Youth Daily published the Logo Design and Description of the Chinese Communist Youth League issued by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League.

On the question of who designed the emblem, the old comrades who participated in or understood the design process of the emblem agreed that the design of the emblem was the crystallization of the collective wisdom of enthusiastic participants from all over the group and inside and outside the group.
