Wukong's Buddha tooth came to China.
In the ninth year of Tianbao in the Tang Dynasty (AD 750), Sapodagan, the leader of the Northern Tianzhu Kingdom, and Sherimo, a Buddhist, came to Chang 'an to present their credentials to Xuanzong in the Tang Dynasty, and they were willing to join them. In the second year, Xuanzong sent Zhang Taoguang, Minister of the Interior, to lead 40 people to Beitianzhu Guest House. At that time, a man named Che Fengchao was a left-back officer, and he was the later master Wukong. After Che Fengchao and his party arrived at the King City of Gandhara, a guest country in North Tianzhu, Feng Chao was seriously ill and could not return to China with his companions. After he recovered from his illness, he threw himself into the door of the relic, became a monk and took his dharma name.

The dharma circle has been touring North Tianzhu for more than 30 years. They quit their jobs as teachers because they missed their hometown. At that time, the pagan invasion of the northern Tianzhu guest country destroyed the Buddha. Deeply aware of the decline of Buddhism in northern Tianzhu, he took the Sakyamuni Buddha relic as a farewell treasure. According to the Buddhist scriptures, Sakyamuni left four Buddhist tooth relics, one of which was given to the dharma circle by the relics.

In the sixth year of Zhenyuan (AD 790), the 60-year-old mage returned to Chang 'an and presented the Buddha tooth relic to Tang Dezong. The Germans named the mage Wukong and the abbot Zhangjing Temple. The Buddha tooth brought back by Wukong was named "Wukong Buddha tooth" from now on.
