Li Xiangyang is played by Guo Zhenqing. Li Xiangyang, a common name, is best known as Li Xiangyang, a legendary hero in Dingxian (now Dingzhou City, Hebei Province), an anti-Japanese base in central Hebei Province. He is played by a famous performance artist Guo Zhenqing, which is a screen classic, while Li Xiangyang's prototype is Guo Xing, a famous anti-Japanese hero. His performance is relaxed, and his interpretation of "Li Xiangyang" is rich and three-dimensional, cordial, fair and humorous. Guo Zhenqing (1927 August15—August 24th, 2005), born in Tianjin, is an actor and director in China. He graduated from North China Staff Cadre School. In the early 1950s, he participated in his first drama "Step by Step" and 1952 starred in his first film "Gate Six". 1958 starred in the drama film A Full Moon Flower, and Zhenqing won the 5th China Film Performing Arts Award. On August 24th, 2005, Guo Zhenqing died in Tianjin at the age of 78.
