Since 1997, Xia Younan has made full use of interdisciplinary opportunities to boldly and innovatively integrate basic chemical research into the exploration of new nanomaterials.
His research team took the lead in trying to skillfully design nanomaterials with different morphologies and specifications by understanding and controlling the formation process of nanostructures. Their long-term goal is to gradually improve the "design rules" of nanomaterials and establish a scientific platform for large-scale production of nanomaterials, thus benefiting "nanotechnology" in various fields such as electronics, photonics, catalysis, information storage and bioengineering, cancer diagnosis and treatment.
Professor Xia Younan has been paying close attention to the development of science and technology in China.
