Andy Yang, male, 1926, was born in Chuansha Town, Pudong New Area. He used to be the editor-in-chief of Art editor, China Youth Publishing House, the director of Children's Art Committee of China Artists Association, and the first director of China Printers Association. He painted children's books all his life, created a large number of illustrations, Chinese paintings and prints, and created more than 220 kinds of children's picture books, of which more than 20 kinds were published overseas in various languages. In order to improve children's quality in an all-round way and care about children's art education, it has been commended by children workers who have made outstanding contributions and advanced individuals who care about the next generation by the State Council Women and Children Working Committee. His works have won the first prize of China Children's Book Art, the nomination prize of International Andersen Award, the honorary prize of China Press and Publication Bureau and the Luxun Medal of China Printers Association.
Children's painting, which is based on ink painting with China characteristics and reflects real life, can be said to be the tradition of Suining children's painting and children's art education. Painting with a brush is not bound by the traditional ink painting procedure. Teachers guide students to observe nature, society, describe their life feelings and express their hobbies and emotions.
