After the continuation of the law, it was called Fa, and the word Bai Ting (or Bai Ting) was also called initiation. Shen, a common surname, was born in 164 1 (the 14th year of Chongzhen in Ming Dynasty) and died in 1728 (the 6th year of Yongzheng in Qing Dynasty). There is a saying that "the continuation of the law should be Shunzhi, the silence is in Yongzheng, the Tao is in Kangxi, and the body passes through san huang". (Notes on Enlightenment Five Instruments P3 1) Renhe Tingxi (now Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province) was a monk when he was a child. When he was nine years old, he taught Hua Yanzong at Ciyun Temple in Hang Cheng. At the age of nine, I studied at Mingyuan of Ciyun Temple in Tianzhu Mountain, Hangzhou. /kloc-He was taught at the age of 0/9 and gave lectures at the age of 20, which lasted for 7 years. Entrusted by Mingyuan, he is the grandchild of Yu Hong V of Yun Qi. His teacher studied all the classics in the world, integrated opinions from all sides, and did not stick to one end. After each talk, four people get together and are in high spirits. The calendar is dominated by Ciyun Temple, Chonghai Temple and Shangtianzhu Temple. Yongzheng was silent for six years and lived 88 years. There are more than 20 disciples, including Pei Feng, Ci Zi, Zhong Zheng and Huai Tian. He has written more than six volumes, including Five Religions of Sages, Analysis of Righteousness and Doctrine, and Biography of Huayanzong Buddhism. In addition to chanting in class, he also knows four books, poems and the Book of Changes.
Hua Yan, a scholar in Qing Dynasty, is the most valued master in pushing Ci Yun to continue the law. He inherited the mantle of Porun, saying that The Outline of Hua Yan Jing was written after more than ten years' careful reading, that is, the six volumes of Five Teaching Instruments of Shou Xian were drafted in the 14th year of Kangxi (1675) according to his own order and the source of the lost collection. In the summer of Li Yong's 14th year (1660), Master Baolun taught Master Cheng Guan's Hua Yan Tan Xuan and recorded the Doctrine of Hands-Handing. Also in the spring of fifteen years, occasionally in the street, I got the Five Gifts of the Sage, which was written by the former master of Daoxian in Xishu. In Hua Yan Tan Xuan, there are still three books of propriety, righteousness and reason, which are recorded in Shu Chao (eight volumes). However, when Master Baolun read it, he realized that this book belongs to the cool teaching instrument, not to the immortal life teaching instrument. Therefore, he was awarded another chapter "Xianshou Teaching", which recorded the differences between teaching and explaining, and there were also differences between Xianshou Teaching and Liangjiao Teaching in purpose.
Similarly, in the Buddhist Biography, it is believed that the status of the sage head belongs to "teaching without view, teaching without judgment, and teaching without license"; I'd like to ask Master Yu Bao to show me three chapters, namely "Five Religions' Interpretation of the Law" and "Sages' Interpretation of the Law" for him to study. In the second year of Kangxi (1663), he also presented the Time Breaking Instrument by Xian Tou and Liang Zhu, as well as a collection of Master Du Shun's View of Dharma Realm. Master baolun said: it can be compared with the four roof religions of master cockscomb. The four teachings are records of meaning, not texts, and your five teachings are both texts and meanings. If you study harder, you will do your best!
After being sealed, Master Porun devoted himself to the research and drilling of the works of Master Cheng Guan and Master Zong Mi. In the fifth year of Kangxi, he took charge of the five teaching instruments and expanded them, putting the convenience of the three treasures in his eyes. Incorporate the "differentiation of differences" in the Interpretation of Zen Origin into the Sect; Jue Yuan's "five doors of emptiness", China's "machine advantage" and "obstruction" are all taken from religion; More back "three photos in the sun", "classic time" and "meaning" of "bamboo spring" will all be put into time. Submit it to the teacher for correction, and get the approval of Master Baolun before praising: "The essence of Huayan family style is now complete!"
In the sixth year of Kangxi, Master Porun passed away, and the master continued to retreat for several years. After four grinding, the volume "Five Teaching Instruments for Realizing Saints" was deleted. In the same nine years, the diagnostic map of the five religions was inserted into the five religions of saints. In the winter of November of the same year, when Tianxi presented it to the monk, he was praised as "the first sage, the messenger of Pilufo". From the spring of the twelfth year of Kangxi to the winter of the thirteenth year, he wrote ten volumes of Lunga Round Talk. In the autumn of the fourteenth year of the same year, six volumes of "Five Instruments of Hands" were published; In the summer of the seventeenth year of the winter solstice, forty-eight volumes of notes on the five rites of sages were published.
Xu Fa is a Hua Yan scholar who is proficient in Buddhist scriptures. He studied various classics, such as Prajna Sutra, Huayan Sutra, Prajna Sutra, Shurangama Sutra, Brahma Sutra, Jue Yuan Sutra and On Qi Xin. There are quite a few studies on the similarities and differences of the purport of spreading Buddhism. Among them, the study of Hua Yanzong is more in-depth. After living in Tianzhu Temple in Hang Cheng, he devoted himself to Hua Yan for fifty years. His book "Five Rites of Sages" is a must-read textbook for those who study sages in the future. He made a detailed textual research on the inheritance system of Hua Yanzong, which was regarded as the "revival" of Hua Yanzong in Qing Dynasty. His description of Hua Yanzong includes one volume of A Brief Introduction to Five Fathers of Legalism and ten volumes of Reading Ji Shu's Letters.
