Shen Cheng, 1959 was born in Ann in August. He is currently the principal of the High School Attached to the Conservatory of Music, a famous Hu Qin performer, a professor at China Conservatory of Music and a tutor for master students. Executive director of China National Orchestra Society and vice chairman of Hu Qin Professional Committee. 1987 won the second prize of the first national Guangdong Music Competition; 1995 won the professional gold medal of Banhu in the "Fulitong" Cup Chinese Musical Instrument International Solo Competition. In the same year, he was awarded the title of "Excellent Actor of Mount Everest" by the Ministry of Culture and was commended for his meritorious service. 1997 was awarded the title of backbone of outstanding young teachers in Beijing, and 200/kloc-0 was awarded the "District Yongxi Music Education Achievement Award" by the Ministry of Culture.

Shen Cheng's Banhu performance can be combined with many styles and full of charm; The timbre is full and round, the fingers are vivid and delicate, the bow is free and unrestrained, and the music is passionate and rough. Besides being good at banhu, he also studied erhu, Gao Hu, Jinghu and other musical instruments from famous artists in China, and achieved high attainments. He also studied the composing techniques of China's instrumental music, and composed many pieces of folk music ensembles such as Banhu and Sang Zi Band, Banhu solo Wild Love, plucked quintet Pear Flower Soul, percussion, Your Legend, Welcome to the Spring, Open the Door and so on. He has written and published academic papers such as China's Kind of String Instruments, the Evolution of Banhu, and the Local Style and Skills of Banhu. Editor-in-chief published three national "2 1 Century Art Education Department" (technical secondary school volume) demonstration textbooks, namely, China Classical Folk Song Appreciation Textbook, China Pinpai Band Training Guide and Chinese Folk Music Digitization Series Textbook, and participated in the compilation of "2 1 Century General Education Series Textbook" Art Aesthetics Guide. A large number of music and audio-visual works have been recorded and published, such as Complete Works of China National Instrumental Music, Famous Songs of Banhu, Sang Zi's Personal Album, Concerto Yang Guifei, Late Night in Jinghu and Gao Hu's Bubugao Cantonese Music Album.

Over the years, Shen Cheng has been active in the stage of national music, extensively participated in major artistic and academic activities at home and abroad, and was invited to give lectures at home and abroad for many times. Since October, 2008, he has been invited to give a series of special lectures at the National Centre for the Performing Arts. He has served as a judge of major music competitions such as the Ministry of Culture and CCTV for many times. As a performer, he has cooperated with Central National Orchestra, Shanghai National Orchestra, Guangdong National Orchestra, Shaanxi Symphony Orchestra, Sichuan Philharmonic Orchestra, Cincinnati Conservatory of Music Symphony Orchestra, Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra, Singapore Chinese Orchestra and Taipei Chinese Orchestra for many times, and has been invited to participate in Hong Kong Art Festival, China Music Festival, World Hua Le Festival and other domestic and international music festivals. With the concept of inheriting tradition and innovation, the largest and well-organized youth plucked string orchestra and youth bowstring orchestra were built for the first time, and a series of exploratory concerts with different sound combinations and performances were planned and launched, which made certain contributions to the development of national music and art education.
