Xiao Ke, (1907.07.14—2008.10.24), formerly known as Wu Yi, formerly known as. Milk name Ke Zhong, male, from Tiancun, Pantou Street, Jiahe, Hunan. . /kloc-joined the national revolutionary army in 0/926 and China in the same year. 1927 served as the company commander of the 24th Division of the National Revolutionary Army. Participated in the Northern Expedition and Nanchang Uprising. During the Agrarian Revolutionary War, he served as the guerrilla captain of Huangshabao in Yizhang, Hunan Province, the company commander, battalion commander, chief of staff and teacher of the 12th Division of the Fourth Army of the Chinese Workers and Peasants Red Army, the commander of the Gongwu Independent Division, the commander of the Gongba Army, the head of the Gongliu Army, the deputy commander of the Gonger Army and the commander of the Gong31st Army. Participated in the Long March. During the period of War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, he served as the deputy commander of the Eighth Route Army 120 Division, the marching commander of Jicha Jiting, and the deputy commander of the Shanxi-Chaji Military Region. During the War of Liberation, he served as deputy commander of North China Military Region and vice president of North China Military and Political University, chief of staff of the Fourth Field Army and chief of staff of Central China Military Region. After the founding of People's Republic of China (PRC), he served as Minister of Military Training Department of the Central Military Commission, Deputy Minister of Training Department of the Chinese People's Liberation Army, President of the PLA Military and Political University, Deputy Minister of National Defense, Dean of the Military Academy and First Political Commissar. 1955 was awarded the rank of general (ranking first). Member of the First, Second and Third National Defense Committees, Vice Chairman of the Fifth Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, Member of the Eighth Central Committee, Alternate Member of the Tenth Central Committee and Member of the Eleventh Central Committee. He was elected as a member of the Standing Committee of the Central Advisory Committee at the First Plenary Session of the 12th CPC Central Committee.
