Liang Weiping, male, 1957, from Funing, Jiangsu Province, is a national first-class actor of Huai Opera with a college degree. 197 1 studied in Funing Huai Opera Troupe and worked as a civil servant. 1984 was transferred to Shanghai Huai Opera Troupe, where he studied with Yang Zhankui and Yue Meiti since childhood.

He has served as a member of the 8th, 9th and 10th Shanghai CPPCC, vice chairman of Shanghai Dramatists Association, director of Chinese Dramatists Association, member of Shanghai Federation of Literary and Art Circles, deputy head of Shanghai Huai Opera Troupe, director of Shanghai Federation of Performing Artists, enjoying special allowance from the State Council for life, and vice chairman of the 7th and 8th Council of Shanghai Dramatists Association.
