From the day it was founded, Henan Little Queen Troupe put forward the business philosophy of "reform and develop the troupe, win by quality, win the market by drama", and everything was done according to market rules, introducing competition mechanism. The management of the 50-member troupe is all based on the appointment system and the responsibility system, and the distribution is reasonably graded according to the contribution and the income of the troupe, so as to stimulate the cast members to improve their own quality and participate in the performance. The unique mechanism has greatly developed the artistic productivity. They won 36 national and provincial collective awards and individual awards.
Folk troupes have to stand on their own feet in everything. There is no rehearsal. They rent out the movie screening room. Others have to show movies during the day and can't go in for rehearsal until after 12 in the evening, often waiting until the sun rises. In order to save money, the Little Queen Troupe never asked the workers to unload the platform and load the car. All the work was done by themselves, even a little flower on her head was made by the actors themselves.
The Little Queen Henan Opera Troupe firmly grasped the rural performance market from the beginning. Performing at the grassroots level for about 3 rounds every year, 10 month. The first round began on New Year's Day, with two performances a day, and a platform was changed every three or four days, until the wheat was ripe. The national average recorded more than 400 performances each year.
It is difficult for the troupe to perform in the countryside. Two days in the village, three days in the town. They eat irregularly and have no place to live. More than 60 folding beds are transported wherever they play. Farmers often have a habit of watching Henan opera, that is, after each performance, the actors will sing it again. In order to satisfy the audience, Wang Hongli took the lead in performing, paragraph after paragraph, until they were satisfied. The troupe makes friends with farmers, and the masses treat the actors as relatives. People in Haosi Village, Sixiang Township, Weishi County, eastern Henan want to see a play, but they can't afford a troupe. After learning about it, the Little Queen Henan Opera Troupe performed 7 plays for them for 4 days for free. The villagers were very excited. They slaughtered pigs and sheep to entertain the actors. After parting, the villagers also loaded 19 bags of peanuts saved by every household into the troupe's car.
In 2003, the Little Queen Henan Opera Troupe was awarded the honorary title of "Serving the Grassroots and Serving the Rural Advanced Collective" by the Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Culture of the Communist Party of China, and became a banner of the national private Henan Opera Troupe.
As the only private troupe actor enrolled in the graduate class of outstanding young Peking Opera actors in China Theatre Academy, Wang Hongli also took to the platform of the graduate class and gave a special lesson on the reform of the troupe system to top actors and troupe leaders from all over the country.
