You need to make an appointment for a visa interview before applying for a visa. Reservations can be made through the American Embassy in official website.

fill in a form

Fill in the form DS- 160 and confirm that the page is printed vertically on A4 paper.

Prepare visa materials

Visa materials include: valid passport, photo, original visa application fee receipt, completed SEVIS form, SEVIS fee receipt, proof with strong binding force in China, proof of funds, research/study plan, resume and school report card.
