Professor, Dean and Doctoral Supervisor of School of Foreign Languages of Nanjing University, Secretary-General of the National American Literature Research Association, member of the Foreign Language Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, and expert in social science communication evaluation of the State and the Ministry of Education, enjoy the special government allowance granted by the State Council. Mainly engaged in British and American literature and culture, western modern and contemporary critical theory, translation teaching and research, visited Harvard University, Yale University, Cornell University, University of Toronto, University of Oklahoma, University of Hong Kong, worked as an interpreter and reviewer in the Translation Office of UNESCO, and taught translation studies in Singapore. He has published 5 monographs, 9 compilers and textbooks (including 2 textbooks for the 11th Five-Year Plan), published more than 20 papers on CSSCI source journals, won 5 social science outstanding achievement awards from the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Province, won 3 outstanding teaching achievement awards from the Ministry of Education and Jiangsu Province, and presided over the research of Jiangsu Province, the Ministry of Education and the National Social Science Fund.
