Wang Meng, a native of Nanpi, Hebei Province, is from Beijing. 1948 * * Joined China. Literary creation began at 1953, which attracted social attention with short stories and a young man in an organization department. 1957 was wrongly classified as a rightist and transferred to Xinjiang in the 1960s. From 65438 to 0978, he was transferred back to Beijing Writers Association, and served as vice chairman of Beijing Writers Association, editor-in-chief of People's Literature magazine, minister of culture, vice chairman of China Writers Association and member of the 13th Central Committee of China. 1989 resigned as minister of culture and concentrated on creation. His major works include the novel Long Live Youth, Activity Becomes Human, Season of Love, Season of gaffes, Season of Hesitation, Season of Carnival, and a large number of short stories and essays.
