East China Normal University, referred to as "East China Normal University", is located in Shanghai and directly under the Ministry of Education of People's Republic of China (PRC). It is a comprehensive research-oriented national key university jointly established by the Ministry of Education and the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.
It was rated as "Class A of World-class University Construction", "985 Project" and "2 1 1 Project", and was selected as "Strong Foundation Plan", "201Plan" and "1/kloc-0".
The state has set up a high-level university graduate program, a China government scholarship institution that accepts students studying in China, a national college student cultural quality education base, a founding member of the Yangtze River Delta University Cooperation Alliance, the BRICS University Alliance, the Asia-Pacific University Academy of Sciences Alliance, and the China-Japan Humanities Exchange University Alliance, and a university approved by the State Council to set up a graduate school. Its degree is authorized by an independent auditing unit.
East China Normal University was established in June 195 1 65438+ 10/6. Based on Daxia University (1924) and Guanghua University (1925), it was transferred to some departments of St. John's University, Fudan University, Tongji University and Zhejiang University.
1972 merged with Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai Institute of Physical Education and other institutions and changed its name to Shanghai Normal University. 1980 Restore the name of East China Normal University. 1997- 1998, Shanghai Preschool Teachers College, Shanghai Education College and Shanghai Second Education College merged successively.
