1972 merged with Shanghai Normal University, Shanghai Institute of Physical Education and other institutions and changed its name to Shanghai Normal University. 1980 Restore the name of East China Normal University. 1997- 1998, Shanghai Preschool Teachers College, Shanghai Education College and Shanghai Second Education College merged successively.
