Is Zhou Yu Shu County and Lujiang County? Probably not!
The reason for this is the following:
Shu county.
What is the scope of Shu County? Is it equivalent to the concept of a county today? According to historical records, the scope of Shu County includes five counties in Anhui today, namely Shucheng, Lujiang, Tongcheng, Wuwei, Huaining and Quewei Bamboo, which is far from the concept of a county today.
The Records of Counties and Counties in the Later Han Dynasty records that "there is Tongxiang in Shu", that is, Shu County includes Tongxiang, which is today's Tongcheng City.
Shucheng is the main area of Shu County. Historical Records of Xiang Yu's Biography records: "Sima Zhou rebelled against Chu and Shu slaughtered Liu." Original note: "Destroy six counties together with Shu people. Shu, now Lujiang is Shucheng County. Therefore, the six cities are 130 miles south of Anfeng in Shouzhou. " China's Classical Biography published by Shanghai Literature and Art Publishing House notes: "Draw Shu Zhijun to slaughter Liu. Shu is now Shucheng, Anhui, and the sixth is Lu' an. " Not only recorded "Shu State", namely "Shu State", but also clearly annotated "Shu" and "Liu".
There is also a record of "killing six people with Shu" in the History of Emperor Gao of Han Dynasty. The annotations of "Shu" and "Liu" are the same as above, which proves that Shucheng is the county of Han and Shu.
The history of Cang Ba's crusade against Chen Lan, Wu Dong, in the Biography of the Three Kingdoms Cang Ba and the Biography of the Three Kingdoms Zhang Liao [4] also proves that Shucheng belonged to Shu County in the Han Dynasty. In the historical facts, the names of Shu and Shu Kou are in Shucheng County today, and the war sites "Jiashi" and "Fenglong" are at the junction of Shucheng and Tongcheng, and Shucheng and Buried Hill. The "buried hill" refers to the hidden county in the Han Dynasty, which is today's Huoshan County. Huoshan is adjacent to Shucheng. Historical facts contained in historical books prove that Shucheng in Han Dynasty belonged to Shujun!

Why do later generations say that Zhou Yu is from Shu County, Lujiang? The reason is that the History of the Three Kingdoms records: "Zhou Yu is from Gong Jin, and Lujiang Shu is also a local."
The records of the ancients may not be credible. Lujiang was built here by Cao Cao or his men to resist Sun Quan of Soochow.
Knowing the situation at that time, we can infer whether Zhou Yu was born before Xiucheng.
Sun Quan (182-May 252,21)
Zhou Yu (175 -2 10)
Cao Cao (155-March15,220)
The age of the characters is enough to show that Zhou Yu is older than Sun Quan, so there is no saying that he was born in Lujiang after repairing the city.
Secondly, The History of the Three Kingdoms was compiled by later generations, and the changes of cities and place names should not be written for the ancients according to the places of later generations.
To sum up: at the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Shu County was a county, not a county, and Lujiang was just a county under the jurisdiction of Shu County.
So Zhou Yu should be from Xiashu County, Shu County, not Xiashu County, Lujiang County!
Finally, it is suggested that the translation of future generations may be inaccurate. At that time, the language meaning from the end of the Eastern Han Dynasty to the Western Jin Dynasty was not necessarily modern. The reflection of Wu Shu records: "Zhou Yu is Gong Jin and Lujiang is Shu Ren." The ancients mean that you may not know Lujiang in Shu County!
