A morning in March in A.D. 1352.
After the fierce fighting, Haozhou (now Fengyang, Anhui) was heavily guarded. In the cold wind, under the broken city gate, a young monk in rags came in a hurry.
Cheng Wei stepped forward and stopped the monk's way. After several interrogations, he didn't panic. He only said that he wanted to meet Marshal Guo.
Guo Zixing, the marshal of the Rebel Army, heard Cheng Wei's report and urged his horse to the gate. When he saw a monk with a tight rope, he looked strange and distinguished, and he could not help secretly saying "farewell".
Guo Zixing drank wine about soldiers, so he talked with monks. The monk respectfully handed a letter and said, "Isn't Gong Ming going to achieve great things? I am a policeman introduced by Tang He. If Marshal doesn't mind, a strong man is willing to fight with Marshal Ding! "
Guo Zixing listened, opened the letter and knew everything. Suddenly I was overjoyed. Immediately ordered the guards to untie, income Qin Bing.
This strange-looking young monk, wearing a dragon-shaped tiger armor, was Zhu Yuanzhang, the later founding emperor of Daming.
On September 18th, the first year of Yuan Dynasty (1328), Zhu Yuanzhang was born in a poor peasant's home in Taiping Township, Zhongli, Haozhou. My ancestral home is Pei County, Jiangsu Province. His ancestors have been honest farmers for generations. Because he couldn't stand the landlord's exploitation, he wandered and migrated several times until his parents settled in Haozhou. First I lived in Dongxiang, Zhongli, then I moved to Xixiang, and finally I found a place to stay in a remote village.
Zhu Yuanzhang, also known as Xingzong, was nicknamed Eight and the word Guo Rui. His father is Shi Zhen. Li Zhuang called him Zhu and had four sons. Zhu Yuanzhang had four sons.
His mother, Chen, likes it very much. Only after Bird was born, he cried day and night. Not only is the whole family shocked every day, but it also makes the neighborhood uneasy. Parents have no choice but to go to Huang Jue Temple for help from the gods. As it happens, since I went to the temple to pray for the gods, this little Zhang is so safe that she has neither cried nor made trouble. To commemorate the Buddha, when Bird was one year old, Shizhen and his wife took their children into the temple to offer sacrifices to God, and named Bird Yi Chan Long Yuan.
Time flies when it gets cold in summer. Xiao Yuanzhang grew up quietly in the warm arms of his parents. But the suffering of society and life is also waiting for his baptism. Debt and famine are like plagues, always staring at the crumbling hut of living treasure. Shizhen, who is only in her fifties, is already yellow and old, and time flies. No way, he had to let Zhong Shu's three eldest sons go to work in a rich family, leaving his youngest son to follow him.
Naive and naive Xiao Yuanzhang knows human sufferings, and whenever he has time, he goes to Huang Jue Temple to play with his friends. The elders in this temple saw that he was clever and likable, so they took time to teach him to read and break words. Bird is also very clever. He never forgets anything. He knows when he hears it. Over time, I will also know some ancient and modern figures.
In a blink of an eye, several years have passed. The naive and romantic Zhu Yuanzhang became a charming teenager. It's time for him to make a living by himself. In this way, he was introduced to Liu Daxiu's house to herd cattle. At first, Bird decided not to go, but under his father's hard persuasion, he had to obey his father's orders and go to other people's homes to herd cattle for a living.
Children from poor families are particularly precocious, and Bird was a naughty boy when he went out to make a living. But he is smart, brave and independent, and has become a natural leader among children. Xu Da, Tanghe and Zhou Dexing, who later became the founding heroes of Daming, were cowherd partners that Bird met at this time. On one occasion, Zhu Yuanzhang was herding cattle in the mountains with a group of cowboys. The sun is still high in the west, and the children's stomachs are already growling with hunger. But with people's work, someone has to take care of it. Who dares to go home early? Zhu Yuanzhang's small eyes blinked, and the plan came to mind. He called his partner, gave an order, pulled a calf out of the herd, tied its leg with a reins, and shouted to cut it down. Then everyone-too many cooks-peeled, collected firewood and made a fire. In a short time, the fragrant and tender beef is ready. Hungry children, you and me, a calf was wolfed down in the blink of an eye, leaving only a pile of bones and a skin.
After a hearty meal, the sun is setting, and it's time to let the cattle go back to the circle. At this time, the children are playing drums in their hearts, and the cow herder ate the cow. How do they explain to the oriental family? At that time, you looked at me, and I looked at you, looked at each other and blamed each other.
Zhu Yuanzhang smiled and said, "Let's not argue. It was my idea. I will bear the beatings! " After that, he led his partner to bury the bones of the calf and sprinkle sand on the blood. Everything was packed properly, and under the command, the scalpers returned.
Zhu Yuanzhang tied up the cow and found its owner. He said, "The calf is disobedient, but it can't be pulled out between rocks. Look at the tail of the cow. " That night, Zhu Yuanzhang was beaten and lost his job. But he won the admiration and trust of his friends.
Yuan Shundi has been in office for four years (1344), and Zhu Yuanzhang has grown into a handsome young man at the age of 17 in the biting wind and rain. But at this time, the hometown of Huaixi in front of us is in full swing, with thousands of miles of drought, locusts flying all over the sky and plagues raging. Taiping village is not peaceful. The lonely village is sparsely populated, and the sound of chickens and dogs is sparse and desolate. A few months later, hundreds of people died in Taiping Township.
The disaster finally fell to Zhu Yuanzhang's house. The 64-year-old father Shi Zhen was the first to get sick and died. Three days later, eldest brother Zhu Zhen (also known as Chongsi) died of the epidemic again. Twelve days later, mother Chen Ernian passed away again. The poor Zhujiajian family died three times in less than half a month. Zhu Yuanzhang's sad scene is really indescribable. When parents die of illness, they should always bury the haunted house as soon as possible to show filial piety. But the world is endless, but there is no Zhujiajian half-field. It is really "the living have enough to eat and the dead are in a hurry." Later, thanks to a small piece of land given by neighbor Liu Jizu, there was no way to prepare the coffin, so he hastily buried three relatives.
Who would have thought it never rains but it pours? Just after my father's and brother's funerals were arranged, the two brothers Zhong Shu were infected with this epidemic again and fell ill together. In the past, the Zhujiajian family was full of children and grandchildren. A few days later, only Bird and his nephew were left.
Disaster, catastrophe! Zhu Yuanzhang, who fought alone and was ruined, was once desperate. Although he is full of enthusiasm and ambition, who knows? Although he is handsome, mighty and energetic, who can hire him? Tears streamed down his face, and he hesitated day and night.
Confused, Zhu Yuanzhang remembered that when he was a child, his parents had made a wish in Huang Jue Temple to become a monk when they grew up. Currently, there is no way out. Instead of starving to death, it is better to be a monk in Huang Jue Temple and eat a bowl of rice to fill your stomach. When he made a plan, he didn't say hello to his sister-in-law's nephew, so he hurried to the Imperial Temple, where he worshipped Elder Gao Bin as a teacher and became a monk.
The road of life is full of thorns. Zhu Yuanzhang never dreamed that the temple where he played as a child became his home today. With a cavity of bitterness and hardship, Zhu Yuanzhang walked into Huang Jue Temple naked and became a little boy.
Because Zhu Yuanzhang was young and entered the temple late, he had a large group of brothers who could boss around and look down on him. Zhu Yuanzhang has been sweeping the floor, carrying water, burning incense and lighting candles all day, but in the end these bosses are still cursing. It is often to ring the bell after dinner and push the moon behind closed doors. He still remembers the love of his parents, the understanding of his brother and sister-in-law, and the intimacy of his friends when he was alive, but now they are all gone. What is lost will never come back!
Thought of here, Zhu Yuanzhang, a young man down and out, was infinitely sad. But even this life is not long!
Temples make a living by collecting rents and giving alms from kind men and women. Nowadays, there are dozens of monks and dozens of mouths in the temple, and it is not a long-term solution to sit on the mountain. It didn't help, so old Gao Bin had to send his disciples out one by one and travel around to find his own way. Zhu Yuanzhang, who had just entered the palace for 50 days, had to wear a broken hat, carry a small bag on his back, hold a wooden fish in one hand and a clay bowl in the other, bid farewell to the Imperial Temple, cross the city and cross the village, and join the ranks of "oil mill" monks.
"Travel", also called "alms", is the jargon of monks. What Buddhists call giving is actually begging. Zhu Yuanzhang begged and wandered all the way. Day after day, year after year, I live in the mountains and stay in the wild. I go from village to village to soften my hardships and endure the hardships of the world. He went to Hefei first, then to Gushi (now Henan) and Xinyang (now Henan), then to Ruzhou (now Linru, Henan), Chen Zhou (now Huaiyang, Henan), Lu Yi (now Bo County, Anhui), and finally to Yingzhou (now Fuyang, Anhui). In three years, Zhu Yuanzhang traveled all over the famous mountains and rivers west of Huaihe River and south of Henan Province. Travel made him familiar with the local customs and geographical conditions of mountains and rivers, and accumulated rich knowledge for him to command the war in the future. At the same time, Zhu Yuanzhang's voyage to the Western Ocean was also a period when Peng Yingyu, Liu Futong and other peasant uprising leaders secretly publicized An Baili and organized uprising activities. Because Zhu Yuanzhang personally experienced class oppression and exploitation, tasted the hardships of life and witnessed the painful life of farmers. So the idea of uprising and rebellion gradually sprouted in his mind. Three years of wandering life, although so difficult and painful, did lay the foundation for Zhu Yuanzhang's later career success.
In the eighth year of Yuan Dynasty (1348), Zhu Yuanzhang returned to Huang Jue Temple with a wooden fish and a pottery bowl in his hand after suffering the hardships of eating people and going in the morning. Stepping into the temple, I saw dusty cobwebs, agarwood all over the hall, and a silent meditation hall, a desolate and deserted scene. When Zhu Yuanzhang asked his neighbors, he realized that in recent years, people's livelihood in his hometown was depressed, bandits and thieves were everywhere, and the people were unable to support a group of monks who wandered around and ate rice. The former brothers were unbearable and separated after their respective trips.
There is no one else in the temple, and people have no other way. After being retained by his neighbors, Zhu Yuanzhang did not refuse, so he stayed as a temporary host and talked about life.
At this time, the land of China was in the period of intensified social contradictions at the end of Yuan Dynasty. Farmers were not only brutally exploited by feudal taxes and corvees, but also the nobles, bureaucrats, landlords and monasteries of all ethnic groups in Mongolia and China frantically annexed land, increased land rent and subjected farmers to inhuman rule and exploitation. Coupled with the corruption of the feudal court, the greed of corrupt officials, and years of natural disasters, the vast number of farmers have lost their money. China farmers who are cornered, like a long-standing flood, will eventually launch a devastating impact on feudal dams.
China farmers could not bear the exploitation and oppression of the feudal rulers of the Yuan Dynasty, and finally stood up bravely in the eleventh year of the Yuan Dynasty (135 1). Liu Futong, a peasant leader, raised the first banner of righteousness in Yingzhou. Peng Yingyu and Xu Shouhui followed closely and revolted in Hubei. Zhang Shicheng, a local tyrant and salt merchant, fought Yuan in eastern Zhejiang and northern Jiangsu. Soon, Dingyuan local tyrant Guo Zixing and party member Sun Deya rose up in Haozhou, attacked and killed state officials, and occupied Haozhou. At this time, the peasant uprising is in full swing all over the country.
Zhu Yuanzhang, who lives in Jingmen, is hard to calm down when he hears the continuous war. A few days later, the smoke of the peasant uprising finally reached Taiping Township.
After occupying Haozhou, Yuan was ordered to withdraw Li Buhua to discuss. But they are afraid of the strength of the rebels and dare not attack the city. In order to reward the imperial court, the great generals of the Yuan Dynasty arrested people everywhere and pretended to be captured rebels. In this way, people outside Haozhou fled for their lives when they heard the news, and the village was a market. Huang Jue Temple is a secluded place, but the cries of fleeing and arresting people in the village made Zhu Yuanzhang really fidgety, holding a cold sweat all day. Zhu Yuanzhang thought: if you stay in the temple, you will either be captured by the government or killed by it; If you leave the temple, where is the thorny land? When Zhu Yuanzhang was in a dilemma, Tang He, an officer of the Guo Zixing team, sent him a letter telling him that he was now a small leader and suggested that Zhu Yuanzhang join the army as soon as possible. After reading Tang He's letter from childhood, he is still hesitating, and it is difficult to make up his mind.
A few days later, my roommate's brother suddenly found him and secretly told him that Tang He's letter urging you to join the army had been known and should be reported to the government. The news is like thunder and lightning, and the situation is critical. We can't hesitate any longer. It's better to kill each other than wait. I've made up my mind. It looks great. At the age of 24, Zhu Yuanzhang left his job, packed his letters, bid farewell to the Huang Jue Temple where Yi Yi really felt the same way, and hurried to Haozhou.

Joining the army from vulgarity is an extremely important turning point in Zhu Yuanzhang's life.
After Zhu Yuanzhang joined the army, he fought bravely. No matter how strong he is, he always risks his life to get ahead. Besides, he knows some words, so he is highly valued by Guo Zixing. In case of war, Zhu Yuanzhang is always around. Soon after, he was promoted to be the commander of the ninth army of Qin Bing.
Of course, Zhu Yuanzhang lived up to Guo Zixing's expectations, practiced martial arts more and more, and obeyed orders. He gave the spoils of every battle to the marshal's office; His reward is also fairly distributed; On credit, everyone has a share. This up and down, all aspects are very satisfied, and it is very morale-boosting.
Marshal Guo Zixing saw Zhu Yuanzhang at a young age, but he was so insightful, courageous and capable, so he regarded him as a confidant and trusted him more.
Ma Shi is the adopted daughter of Guo Zixing and the only daughter of his clumsy friend Ma Gong. His wife Zheng gave birth to a daughter and died a few days later. Later, Ma Gong entrusted his daughter to Zixing for revenge and murder. Soon, Ma died in another country. Zi Xingyou is an orphan and a friend raised with Italy.
This Mahalanobis is also very smart. Once instructed, he knows everything. After a few years, she has grown into a gentle and lovely lady, reaching marriageable age, but has not yet chosen a suitable husband.
The arrival of Zhu Yuanzhang reminded Guo Zixing of his adopted daughter's marriage. After consulting with his wife Zhang, he got the consent of his adopted daughter and Zhu Yuanzhang and got married on another day. From then on, Zhu Yuanzhang became the son-in-law of Marshal Guo Zixing, worth a hundred times, and the soldiers also regarded him with special respect. Call him Zhu Gongzi, not by his first name.
A bald monk from humble origins was favored a hundred times within a few days of joining the army. His wife got a promotion, but he annoyed Guo Zixing's two sons. The two brothers of the Guo family are naive and jealous. The poor buddy who was killed by Meng Ding was equal to calling himself his brother, and he felt uncomfortable all over. For three days, the two brothers stirred up trouble in front of their father, spread rumors and spoke ill of Zhu Yuanzhang.
This Guo Zixing is also a noodle ear, a profile of Zhu Yuanzhang with a bean curd heart, and a person with no definite opinions. After his second son echoed each other, he became suspicious of Zhu Yuanzhang.
Zhu Yuanzhang, relying on his increasingly consolidated position in the military, ignored Guo's second son. When it comes to military aircraft, he still talks in Kan Kan, Kan Kan, young and defiant. Guo Zixing became more and more unhappy, and one day they quarreled about the war. In a rage, Guo Zixing ordered Zhu Yuanzhang to be imprisoned in another room.
Guo's second son played it by ear, added fuel to the fire in front of him, framed Zhu Yuanzhang, and secretly told the cooks not to feed him, determined to take this opportunity to get rid of him.
Unfortunately, the secret discussion between the two sons was known by Ma Shi. She sneaked into the kitchen to get two steamed cakes, and was about to send them, but when she went out, she met her foster mother Zhang. Afraid that the foster mother would find out, she quickly held the steamed cake in her arms.
Zhang saw that she was flustered and clumsy, and guessed that there must be a reason, so he took it and deliberately dawdled with her. At first, Mahalanobis absently answered at random. Then I burst into tears, tears streaming down my face. Zhang is busy drinking back or so, so be careful of heckling. The horse knelt down and cried. Explain why. When Zhang heard about it, he was very pitiful. When Ma Shi unbuttoned his skirt, he saw steaming steamed cakes stuck to * * *. The steamed cake was finally peeled off, but it was burnt. When Zhang saw this scene, he couldn't help feeling sad and angry. While dressing his adopted daughter in a hurry, he ordered the chef to deliver food to Zhu Yuanzhang immediately.
In the evening, when she came back with her son, Zhang denounced his second son and urged her husband. The second son has a guilty conscience, so he has to let his mother reprimand him and dare not talk back. As a result, he got bored.
Besides, this Guo Zixing, though a grand rebel marshal, was questioned by his wife. He had no words, so he had to admit his mistake and let Zhu Yuanzhang out of another room himself. After this ordeal, the Guo father and son dare not mistreat Zhu Yuanzhang. Zhu Yuanzhang, a youthful man, also tasted some sufferings of being a man, and he was more cautious on weekdays.
Soon, infighting broke out within the rebels. Marshal Guo Zixing and Sun Deya, deputy commander of the Blood League, had a sharp conflict because of their differences in war. So sun set a trap and tricked him into his own house, trying to kill him secretly and make himself king. After Zhu Yuanzhang came back from the battlefield, he immediately led his Qinbing, chased Sun's family and went straight into the living room. He said angrily, "Why did the deputy commander kill the commander instead of the enemy?"
Zhu Yuanzhang waved Qin Bing's shield and rushed into Sun Deya's house. He searched everywhere and found Guo Zixing in a low room. Zhu Yuanzhang broke the chain and carried him home. From then on, Guo Zixing survived, naturally grateful to Bird, more love.
Zhu Yuanzhang came to his senses after the conflict between the two princes. At present, there are five marshals in Haozhoucheng rebels, who do not give in to each other, do not govern each other, are constantly fighting internally and have too much internal friction. If this continues, you will either die in the nest or be killed by the Yuan Army. What are the advantages of not being a soldier for a long time if you want to do great things?
So, in the spring of 1353, with the consent of Guo Zixing, Zhu Yuanzhang returned to his hometown Li Zhong, where he had been away for a long time, and erected the Red Scarf Army flag to raise military forces. When I was a child, my friends, such as Xu Da and Zhou Dexing, heard that Zhu Yuanzhang was an official and a soldier and wanted to go home to recruit. They all called to defect. In ten days, a team of more than 700 people was pulled up. These people have been fighting side by side with Zhu Yuanzhang since then and have become the backbone of the uprising team. Among them, 24 people, such as Xu Da, were able to write and fight, and became the founding heroes later, assisting the true emperor.
A few days later, Zhu Yuanzhang gathered talents and led the troops back. Guo Zixing was overjoyed and was promoted to Lord, and his 700 people were under his command. Zhu Yuanzhang holds the relieving power, and he is no longer willing to cramp the city-state. After a secret talk with Xu Da, he got Guo Zixing's answer, that is, he went south with a group of heroes such as Xu Da and Tanghe, and broke into a new world.
The battle of Dingyuan was the first battle for Zhu Yuanzhang to command his own team and realize his grand plan.
There is a Zhangjiabao near Dingyuan, where a landlord armed force of more than 3,000 people is stationed, named Lupai Village.
When Zhu Yuanzhang and his party came to Dingyuan, they heard that the village was helpless and desperate. Bird personally came to the village entrance, and the village owner was also very generous, inviting him to entertain the camp with wine and cattle. Zhu Yuanzhang said at the banquet: "I heard that the stockade owner was alone and lacked food. There is no good solution at present, either cooperate with us or transfer troops to avoid him. "
The duke responded immediately and led the troops to meet Marshal Guo three days later. Unexpectedly, three days later, the stockade owner reneged on his words and changed his mind halfway. Zhu Yuanzhang had to play tricks. He told the soldiers to get into the bag, lied about the canteen, loaded it into the car, came to the village entrance, and sent troops to inform the stockade owner to go out and pick up the canteen.
The stockade owner didn't know it was a plan, but he was worried about the lack of rations. Hearing the news, he was naturally overjoyed and rushed out to meet him.
At Zhu Yuanzhang's command, the soldiers rushed out and immediately took the duke. When the soldiers in the village saw that the castellan was captured, they were all unwilling to fight and fled for their lives.
In the first battle, Zhu Yuanzhang took advantage of the starry night to attack Miao tycoon.
Miao tycoon, who lives in Hengjian Mountain, has over 20,000 soldiers. He never dreamed that Zhu Yuanzhang would attack his camp so soon. In his sleep, he got up and hurriedly confronted him, but how could he resist the torrent of the rebel offensive? Miao tycoon saw that the tide was gone and weighed the interests, so he had to lead the people to surrender and submit to Zhu Yuanzhang.
After Zhu Yuanzhang incorporated Miao tycoon's troops, his prestige increased greatly and he joined the Quartet.
Feng and Feng are two small and medium-sized landlords in Dingyuan County. Because I was afraid of the Red Scarf Army, I personally organized village soldiers to protect myself. Later, they heard that Zhu Yuanzhang's team was brave and disciplined, and even defeated several enemies. They also brought their own soldiers to see Zhu Yuanzhang.
Zhu Yuanzhang was very happy to see the introduction of Zhu Yuanzhang, the two brothers of the Feng family. They were both well-educated and gentle, knowing that they were two scholars. He asked the two of them for advice on a big plan to conquer the world.
Feng said: "In the south of the great river, Jinling (now Nanjing) is an important place. It has always been a metropolis surrounded by dragons and tigers. You led the troops south, first based in Jinling, and then went to war everywhere. Advocate benevolent government, win the hearts of the people, save the people from fire and water, not greedy for money, not greedy for wealth and treasure. It is not difficult to win the world in this way. "
Zhu Yuanzhang was overjoyed when he heard that he even made Guo Yong and Guo Sheng brothers inherit the throne and become counselors. At the same time, he ordered to go to Chuyang.
On the way to the army, someone wanted to see Zhu Yuanzhang. This man surnamed Li is a good man who can't argue, and he is also a landlord intellectual who lives in Dingyuan. He studied since childhood, paid attention to the study of legalism and was resourceful. Zhu Yuanzhang happily had a heart-to-heart talk with him and asked him about his strategy to seize the world.
Li Shanchang calmly replied, "The rebellion at the end of Qin Dynasty, Emperor Gaozu set out in cloth. He is open-minded, knows people well, does not kill innocent people, and became emperor in five years. " He went on to say, "You are from Haozhou, not far from Pei County, Liu Bang's hometown. If we can emulate the strengths of Emperor Gaozu, the world will be settled. "
After listening, Zhu Yuanzhang repeatedly said that he was good, and immediately stayed with him as a secretary (secretary-general) to help him make suggestions.
The strategy of keeping a low profile and keeping a low profile has strengthened Zhu Yuanzhang's ambition to seize the world and accelerated his pace of sweeping and unifying the world.
In November of A.D. 1354, the Prime Minister Tuotuo of the Yuan Dynasty defeated Zhang Shicheng in Gaoyou (now Jiangsu) and took advantage of the victory to divide the troops into Liuhe.
Zhang Shicheng was a salt merchant who was born in Taizhou (now Jiangsu). Unable to bear the pressure of the government, he led the salt merchants to revolt in 1354, claiming to be the honest king.
Gaoyou won, and Yuan Bing surrounded Liuhe. Liuhe Shoujiang sent someone to Guo Zixing stationed in Chuzhou for help. Guo Zixing refused to send troops because he had been enemies with Liuhe Shoujiang. But this Liuhe is located in the southeast of Chuzhou, which is the barrier of Chuzhou. If Liuhe is defeated, Chuzhou will face extinction and the situation will be in jeopardy.
Zhu Yuanzhang earnestly told Guo Zixing that he was very interested and finally persuaded him. But Yuan Bing, known as a millionaire, who dares to shoulder the heavy responsibility of this customs clearance? Zhu Yuanzhang volunteered and ordered the soldiers and horses to point at Liuhe. On the March, Zhu Yuanzhang set an ambush and ordered Geng Zaicheng to pretend to be defeated and escape. The yuan army did not know why, but followed suit. Zhu Yuanzhang ordered an ambush, rushed out together, defeated the Yuan Army and fled.
Solving the siege of Liuhe fully demonstrated Zhu Yuanzhang's outstanding military talent. Subsequently, Guo Zixing adopted Zhu Yuanzhang's suggestion, and in the first month of spring of 1355, he sent his brother-in-law Zhang Tianyou and others to successfully capture Hezhou (now Anhui County). Zhu Yuanzhang, who has repeatedly made meritorious military service, was promoted to company commander.
After Zhu Yuanzhang came to power, he immediately faced many difficulties. At that time, most of the soldiers in Hezhou were Guo Zixing's songs, with complex composition and lax discipline. When he was fighting, he robbed and killed indiscriminately, which was very unpopular. Of course, he didn't regard Zhu Yuanzhang as the company commander at all. Every time we fight for seats, we leave the last seat to Zhu Yuanzhang.
Zhu Yuanzhang is determined to change this situation. Soon, he proposed to build the city, and agreed that everyone would be responsible for one section and it would be completed within three days. Only Zhu Yuanzhang completed the project, and no general completed it. At this time, Zhu Yuanzhang took out Guo Zixing's letter and read it out in public. After reading it, he said seriously: "My company commander was appointed by Marshal Guo. Since I am an official, I have to bear the responsibility. We promised to build the city, but we couldn't finish it on time. What if the enemy attacks the city? Whoever disobeys military orders in the future will be punished according to military law! " When the generals saw that the company commanders were serious, they were afraid to do it.
This incident made Zhu Yuanzhang deeply feel the extreme importance of serious military discipline. He is determined to rectify the discipline of the army and make it a brave and good soldier and a kind teacher supported by the people.
After capturing the state, he ordered all women who were robbed by self-employed to be released for their relatives to claim. On this day, outside the camp, early in the morning, people were crowded waiting for their mothers, wives and daughters. When people see their loved ones again, they are sad and happy, crying and laughing. People shed tears and thanked Zhu.
Since then, every time Zhu Yuanzhang captured a city, Li Shanchang and other literati have to write notices and post them everywhere. Constantly affirm discipline and send law enforcement teams to patrol the streets to protect the people. People who violate military discipline, no matter how high their positions are, no matter whose children they are, will be punished by military law.
At that time, the army was short of food, and drinking was forbidden in the army. The son of Hu Dahai, the rebel general, just wouldn't listen. After Zhu Yuanzhang heard the news, he decided to deal with it according to military law. Zhu Yuanzhang was advised that it was inappropriate for Hu Dahai to kill his son, because he was leading troops to fight at the front. Zhu Yuanzhang replied categorically: "I would rather turn Hu Dahai against me than ruin my army!" With that, he drew his sword and killed himself. It is precisely because Zhu Yuanzhang's team discipline is so strict that his team is invincible, and the voice of benevolence is far and near.
In March (1355), the uprising leader Guo Zixing died. The Song regime established by the peasant uprising in Liu Futong appointed Zhu Yuanzhang as the left deputy marshal of this rebel army. Soon, after two lieutenants died, Zhu Yuanzhang was promoted to marshal. At this point, all the rebel teams created by Guo Zixing were transferred under the command of Zhu Yuanzhang.
Although Zhu Yuanzhang was promoted from a pawn to a marshal, he was still a small country with few people, and it was difficult to realize the great cause of reunifying China. He paid special attention to disintegrating the enemy, strengthening himself, uniting all forces under his own banner and gradually realizing his great goal.
In the 16th year of Yuan Dynasty (1356), in the middle of spring, Zhu Yuanzhang personally supervised the amphibious generals, celebrating the progress. A fierce battle, burning warships, the Lord will be captured alive, and more than 36,000 soldiers will surrender. I don't know what Zhu Yuanzhang will do after the soldiers are arrested. Everyone is very scared. The soldiers around Zhu Yuanzhang advised him that he had gone too far and was afraid that he would change his mind, so it was better to deal with it before it was too late. But Zhu Yuanzhang did not take the soldier's advice. Instead, he chose 500 brave and strong people to take to his barracks and let them sleep on the sofa at night. Except staying in Feng's room, none of his usual guards spend the night. Zhu Yuanzhang took off his armor, went to bed and fell asleep until dawn. These 500 warriors are very grateful to Zhu Yuanzhang for his trust. A few days later, Zhu Yuanzhang reused these 500 soldiers as pioneers and attacked Jinling City. The soldiers were grateful and angry, bravely killed the enemy, and went straight to Jinling, all of whom made great achievements. More than 30,000 soldiers thanked Zhu Yuanzhang for his sincerity and loyalty. Zhu Yuanzhang's team is invincible and famous all over the world.
After the capture of Qing Ji, Zhu Yuanzhang changed Qing Ji to Yingtianfu. At this time, in his north are the rebels Han Liner and Liu Futong. To the east is Zhang Shicheng. To the west is Xu Shouhui. Although the territory is small, there are troops on the east, west, north and south fronts, protecting this rebel team like a barrier. Zhu Yuanzhang made full use of this favorable situation and successively conquered Zhenjiang, Changxing, Changzhou, Ningguo, Jiangyin, Changshu, Chizhou (now Guichi, Anhui), Huizhou (now Shexian, Anhui), Wuzhou (now Jinhua, Zhejiang), Yangzhou, Quzhou and other places with Yingtianfu as the center.
At this time, Zhu Yuanzhang, after seven years of bullets, has grown from a monk who only makes a living to a rebel general who gallops on the battlefield; From a pawn to the overlord of the dominant side. In the 19th year of Yuan Dynasty (1359), Wang Xiaoming appointed him as the left prime minister of Zhongshu Province in Jiangnan and other places.
Zhu Yuanzhang started a new voyage on the life channel leading to Emperor Daming!
