Which district of Wuhan does Hankou belong to?
Hankou is not a district of Wuhan. Hankou merged with Wuchang and Hanyang to form the present Wuhan. Hankou is divided into Jiang 'an District, Jianghan District and Qiaokou District.

Hankou, a prosperous international metropolis, is an important part of Wuhan. As the financial, commercial, foreign exchange center and major transportation hub of Greater Wuhan, it has been known as "the first prosperous place in Chu" since ancient times and is well-known at home and abroad as "Oriental Chicago". Hankou, Wuchang and Hanyang merged into today's Wuhan City, and were called the three towns of Wuhan.

After 1949, "Hankou" is no longer a formal administrative division name. Hankou is divided into Jiang 'an District, Jianghan District and Qiaokou District. In fact, Dongxihu District is located outside Zhang Gongdi, not in Hankou City during the Republic of China, but in Hanyang County, which was built in 1964. At the same time, Hankou is also the seat of the municipal government departments such as Wuhan Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government.
